This is a Christmas tree, multi-color led lights. The lights connect simply by connecting the three tree sections. Nothing to plug in (except the main plug.) I ordered this for next Christmas, so it did arrive after Christmas. On inspecting, I found they had sent the wrong tree--an all white one with fewer features. I contacted the seller (LonelyHome) and they immediately got back to me. I explained the problem. They sent a return label and arranged for UPS to pick up the tree at my home. On the designated day, they picked it up and within a day, I had received the correct tree. It was a bit expensive, but seems well made. I can't really comment on sturdiness as I haven't put the tree up and fluffed up the branches. The branch tips are supposed to be extremely realistic. I'm not sure I'd go that far, but they look good. I'll know how good next Christmas. I did take it out of the box, slip the base into the stand and plug it in. As I slipped the middle section, then the top into the center "trunk" each section lit up immediately. The 10-program light control worked perfectly. This is the first artificial tree I’ve ever had, and I was skeptical it would look “fake.” I could not have been more wrong! I bought this tree based on a Wirecutter review of a similar, taller tree and after comparing many 6.5 foot trees on Amazon. It took about 2 hours to “fluff” the branches—which really means spreading out the individual “tips,” as they’re called, but it was well worth the effort. The assembly itself was simple; there are three tree sections and the stand, and they go together easily. Starting from the bottom, I fluffed each section before adding the next one. Once the entire tree was assembled, I went back around and adjusted branches to fill in any gaps. The tree also came with a foot pedal, which makes it super easy to turn on and off and to change color modes. I will admit: the brightness of the LED lights worried me at first (I’ve always used incandescent lights), but I quickly grew used to them—and I like knowing they’ll last longer and won’t get hot. If you’re looking for a realistic-looking pre-lit tree that’s easy to assemble and you’re willing to take a little time to make it look it’s best, I very highly recommend this tree (as does my cat). ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This tree first off came missing two branches (not tips, but branches). This is our second National Tree company tree that we have purchased. Our last tree was a 9 foot feel real jersey Fraser with 1500 clear lights and that tree looked lush and thick and had plenty of lights that were connected to almost every tip. This tree is extremely sparce the tips don't go in towards the middle pole of tree or branch making this tree look very empty and the middle pole is easily viewable. No amount of fluffing can fix this. This tree is supposed to be categorized as most realistic and compared to our older tree this one looks very fake and shiney plastic. For a fake tree this is the worse of them. Now let's go to the lights, this 9 foot I believe has 900 multi color lights that wrap this tree from top to bottom but they are literally wrapped around the front outer most edges around entire tree. There are no lights in the middle of this tree and whomeever wired this tree literally just wrapped the lights in a circle pattern from top to bottom. If I wanted to hang ornaments from the wire I could since that is how poorly the tree is wrapped. Our original National Tree Company tree was pre lite as well but at least that one had it's lights tightly wrapped around each branch and each tip and covered the entire branch not just the out most side of branches. Now to the light shows that are programmed, there is I think ten different selections that you can click through using the built in foot pedal switch but the difference in all the options are again minimal at best. There solid white dim or bright and blinking fast or slow and then the same options with just color and then same options with white and color combinations. Really nothing special about them. All lights work and the power connect poles works great too. Just a big disappointment for over 600 dollars to receive a broken tree with missing branches, their most realistic tree that truly looks badly fake, a tree that looks very sparce after fluffed, and lights that were poorly wrapped on the outside branches only. The media could not be loaded. This tree looks amazing. It’s incredibly full looking once you spread all the branches, and there are many light options. Love that we can choose color or white lights. It gives a lot of light options (see video). I would have given it 5 stars if it weren’t for a few nitpicks: 1. These lights have unique connections (see picture). So if you had a lighted star before, it won’t work. You have to buy this company’s star to fit the connection. 2. While it is “easy” to assemble, it will indeed take you an hour or so. Especially on your initial setup. You will touch every single branch to spread each piece out. But when you do, it truly does look very full (see pictures). It will just take a while. It would have been nice if each branch had multiple hinges so they fell into place. With this, the main branch does, but then you have to spread the branch 3 ways, then spread all the little branches on those 3 ways. Not hard, just very tedious. 3. The light strands, button, and plug feel rather cheap and easily breakable. It doesn’t mean it will break, it just doesn’t feel the strongest of you have pets or kids that will mess with it. Note I’m not talking about the tree itself. The tree is a beast and decently heavy. That’s about it. I imagine it won’t take as long to fan the tree out next time I set it up. It’s just packed tightly for initial shipping. My biggest gripe is the lights connection. I really wish it was a standard plug so I could use my own star that we’ve had for years. All in all it’s a great tree, especially if you get it on post-Christmas sale. Don’t listen to the other reviews about not being full or unbalanced. See my pictures and video.
