This is a very nice looking replica of Lord Voldemort's wand. It does light up but that's about it. Its just nice to find a wand other then one of the main good characters wand! Works great as a mini flashlight too haha. Any budding wizard would love this!

i was very VERY excited to open i looked out the window all day until it got here when it arrived i was super happy with it it shined SUPER BRIGHT i had so much fun with it all day!! Until just now the battery had died so i came back to here were i bought it and the instructions are very bad and its impossible to take out the battery's! Also it did not come with the tools it said it did but I found 1 replacement I got a needle to help take out the battery but that did not work so I just waited to do that because it was getting late so I picked up the wand but when I did that the part that holds the battery fell off the wire. and I was super sad and mad because i thought it was my fault well it kind of was cause I forgot to look at the reviews before I bought it. so what I did is I got the top that holds the batteries in and a small piece of the battery holder popped off so now that top part to hold the battery's can't go on!!!!! so please don't buy this. and i would give it 1 star but im giving 2 stars cause i felt like harry potter the first three hours before it broke. ... show more

This wand is okay it dose have a very bright light and is a replica of Harrys was my complaint is in the battery compartment the wires have exposed spots on th wires I don't see it lasting very long and as a wand collector the box looks the part on the outside but the inside of the box is threw together and the velvet is not even attached to the foam I'm sadly disappointed as a collector on the quality of some parts this would be good for a costume but on a collection point ... show more

I was surprised that it didn’t work right out of the box. But, they do give you a replacement battery. Except, that you can’t really replace the battery. The instructions are ridiculous, the wires don’t connect, and the old battery doesn’t come out. This is way too much difficulty for a toy that should light up when you press the button. It’s a light up stick with one job and it doesn’t do that job. And the cute necklace they send you with it can’t make up for that. You should buy another light up stick to be your wand, this one is not effective. ... show more

I was excited to find this wand for my 7yo son's Harry Potter costume. The "Valiant" style is intended to be Harry's wand, "Yellow" is Voldemort's wand, "Righteous" is the Elder wand, and "Smart" is Hermione's wand. My son was SO excited when he pulled this wand out of its velvet bed and saw that it lights up! You push the button once to turn the light on, and you push it again to turn the wand off. My son played with this wand around the house for a solid month prior to Halloween and accidentally left it on numerous times, and the original battery lasted through all of that (although the spare sent with the wand was good for peace of mind). The wand is made out of resin, so the quality in appearance and texture is much better than anything made out of plastic. The wand has a good heft to it as well. After a month of sometimes rough play, I did notice some cracking lines in the resin of the wand, but you could only see it if you were looking for it, and no pieces of the wand actually broke off. Honestly, I'm surprised it still looked as good as it did after what my 7yo put it through. My only minor complaint is about how easily the plug for the battery comes out. I couldn't tell you how many times I found the plug lying around the house after my son had played with the wand, although the battery never fell out, and the plug always went right back into the wand. It just seems like the rubber plug should be a little tighter to prevent it from coming out on accident. Overall my son and I were both really pleased with this wand, and if you're an adult or child who knows how to handle a wand with moderate care then it should work really well for you. ... show more

This light up wand is a great gift for Harry Potter fans. It feels sturdy and well made and it comes with an additional battery. The bonus necklace is cheap but the wand itself is great fun.
