  • Love this mini potters wheel!
Color: Orange
I’m a beginner on the mini wheel and after researching and reading reviews I decided on this one. I love it. Great speed and control. Mini pottery is a delicate process and you have to get used to not putting too much pressure on the tiny wheel or else it can slow down. It’s all a matter of getting used to. Once you do you will love it! I actually bought another one so I can work on 2 at a time. ... show more

  • Might as well save up and get the actual one
Color: Orange
This is one of those chinese products that are available to anyone on aliexpress but being sold somwhere else for more. I thought I could get a cheap pottery wheel for my gf but when she got it it was not like we expected at all. First its tiny. I thought it would be bigger but i take the blame on that by not paying attention to the name with the size in it. Second, the little bucket case that goes under wheel wont snap and stay together, making it very pointless to even be on. Third the machine doesnt even function right. Have the machine on a nice suitable speed and if you so much as touch your clay, the machine will just stop. Turn the speed up and it will just fling the clay everywhere making a complete mess that you have to clean up. Doesnt come with instructions on how to make sure the basin can be properly attached either. Overall its a low value product with a bit higher than it should be price tag. Id say its worth 15 bucks at most. Which is also what its being sold for on aliexpress at the moment so go figure. Anyway waste of money and currently its in the trash can because it made my gf so mad when trying to use it. ... show more

  • Nifty little pottery wheel
Color: Dark Blue
I am using this mini pottery wheel to try to throw vases, bowls and other small pieces in dollhouse scale, using air dry clay. The wheel comes with all the tools needed and two turntable sizes to use according to the project. It is rather lightweight and not too loud, but what I like most are the detachable drip pan and the variable speed, which is very helpful when one is a beginner at pottery throwing. ... show more

  • Manage your expectations.
So I usually use a full size wheel but rent studio time so I thought it might be fun to use this at home in between visits and make tiny things and maybe teach my son a little. First problem. The tray to catch the slip and flying clay takes a million years to snap on. Once you do, when you turn on the wheel the tray spins with it. I had to just leave it off entirely. Tried several times nothing I did helped. Second problem. This might work for a pot as pig as your thumb but anything bigger the wheel can’t handle. Try to center it and it just stops spinning. Try to put any pressure at all on it it stops spinning. I didn’t try it with a smaller ball of clay. I started with the bigger disk and maybe a golf ball sized ball and was not able to make it work well because it just stops spinning. I only assume it may be slightly better with a tiny ball. Only slightly. Third thing. Even if the tray worked… this thing flings clay like nobodies business. It is going to have to be outdoors only use unless I maybe set up a box with three sides to work in and catch the massive amounts of spatter. I’m talking more than a full sized project on a full sized wheel and flying in every direction. It might be good for something who knows. Even something non pottery related. And I got it for a Black Friday deal at very little money so it’s ok but I definitely don’t recommend expecting this to be anything other than a toy for pottery unless you are making dollhouse pots. I suppose I could bring it camping and use it to make tiny pots out of the clay my son digs up from the river…. Basically don’t buy this expecting much and you will be ok. ... show more

  • Not impressed
Color: Dark Blue
I thought this would be a good idea for a novice pottery-maker, but it's so small that's not really practical, even for novices.

  • Cute and fun
Color: Dark Blue
It's small and really basic but it's a fun way to start practicing making pottery, my kids also love playing with it even though they almost immeadeatly destroy what ever is currently turning. But it's a fun way to spend a rainy afternoon for sure.

  • So cute!
Color: Dark Blue
This mini pottery wheel is exactly like the kind I used in high school ceramics class, just on a smaller scale. It's too cool, the perfect size for making little trinkets. LOVE THIS! Clay isn't included.
