I used this for my monitor shelf on my desk and it looks really nice on top. The color is a very pretty pastel color and matches perfectly with my desk ! The bookend itself is pretty cheap feeling honestly and it did kinda feel like it was going to break when I extended it but it ended up being fine. The dividers were kinda annoying to work around and because the books are a little bit bigger than the space available between dividers the bookends push out from underneath the books on the ends but i'm planning on using command strips to keep them in place. They do have mounting holes on the ends but I don't want to damage my desk. Overall really nice budget buy and it does work well. Other reviews had said they arrived damaged but I ordered multiple items (it came in an amazon box) and it didn't even have scuffs. ... show more

I kept putting books on the retaining wall around my upstairs loft, taking the risk that a little earthquake (or an errant elbow) wouldn't knock them to the first floor below. This little gadget is just what I needed: bookends with a back! Everything looks much tidier too. My only wish would be that they made it in white!     • Perfect bookends- flexible and books won't fall off!
I was looking for something that would allow me to to put books on a shelf (with no back on the shelf), with flexibility in the number of books it could hold without the books falling over every time I removed one. This is the perfect solution! I can have 3 books or 10 books (depending on size). Unlike regular book ends which can allow books to fall over when removing them, this is sturdy. I like these book ends. I like the accordion style in the middle parts to keep it firm when you push them closed and to keep the books sturdy in between them.
