Amazon shipped via USPS inside a larger box without ANY protective packaging. Horrible packing. Fortunately Nachtmann designed a SHELF box with intelligence holding the glasses tightly inside. Reidel vs Nachtmann: Reidel $12-20, Nachtmann $3 each. Reidel heavier (lead), 10% bigger, better ring (higher, longer.) Nachtmann lead safe borosilicate. Both uniform shape. Riedel owns Nachtmann. Machine made for everyday use. Hand wash by holding the bowl and not the stem. Don’t turn upside down and let wine collect in the rim to prevent etching. Even with a Hobart with a glass tray, wine glasses break except thick, short ones. ... show more

I was trying to replace existing white wine glasses and the Amazon description said they were 8 inches tall like me existing wine glasses. They are 8.5 inches tall and just too big to fit in my dishwasher. I'm keeping them for now but it seems like yet another inaccurate description of a product on Amazon. Not happy about feeling you can't trust product descriptions. Other than that the glasses are perfectly good. Previously I had reordered the same glasses (exact same company) I was trying to replace.
