The pack I received has an orange top, but I don't truly care. Just warning you out there who might. It came in what seems to be the original box, and is fully functional. I've used it for about a month of solid gaming, and it's still running strong. To those of you who don't know, certain games actually require this pack to run. Two of my favourites are included in this category: Banjo Kazooee and Majora's Mask. If you're thinking of buying this for a retro gaming spree or for a retro gamer, keep in mind which games they'll be playing! This may actually be needed. Works great. I was a bit nervous buying a third party expansion pack but this one is excellent. Looks just like the nintendo brand one and fits perfectly in the slot so the cover can be put back on. I tested it with Donkey Kong, Majors Mask, and several other games and it worked perfectly. Did not overheat after extended gameplay and almost feels as if it runs cooler than the nintendo brand one. I highly recommend this considering it seems to be the only good, new expansion packs that are still being made. ... show more

i only give it a 4 star over a 5 star because the red top of this one replaces the original snap on cover of the n64 so you have a hunk of red plastic sticking out. other than that all the real functionality of it works.

Bought this for the N64 that I replaced for my brother when I moved out and took the one we grew up with me (haha, perks of being the oldest). Works wonderfully for playing Donkey Kong 64. This helped revive childhood memories of playing this game all the time as a kid. It works the way that it's intended and I was very happy, if you are looking for a product that works and have a smaller budget this is what you need right here.

We needed this pack to place the donkey kong game on N64 that we recently dug out, however this pack was super expensive and either it, or the game keeps freezing at the same point, so were a little disappointed and feel we wasted money. Oh well.
