On the ear it feels just a little heavier that how solid gold would feel. It's metal quality, under the finish, is lighter than so many of these fake dangle earrings that are too heavy. These earrings are amazing. They're a little on the heavier side but that makes them not feel so cheap. They haven't tarnished and it's been a few weeks already.
