I bought a 1993 Stratocaster Deluxe Plus years ago that didn't have a back plate. It always bugged me having the back exposed when playing. I decided to give this a chance. Bought the 3 ply white. Arrived undamaged, thin layer of protective film was peeled off. Screws were provided and were of good quality. Screws were the right size and length for this guitar, and the holes lined up perfectly. Install was quick and easy. I took care not to over-tighten to make sure there is not any damage. Grabbed one of these to match with the Musiclily pickguard I ordered. Same impressions on these as the pickguard - despite the low price tag, the quality is really good - better than the OEM back plate (and a nice upgrade in the looks IMO).

Was disappointed that this didn’t fit my Fender, Squire Stratocaster. Was able to squeeze the four edge screws in, but the offset middle screws didn’t fit. For $7 and two new screw holes in the body, I don’t mind. This was a budget refurb job to add new life to a pawn shop guitar, and I’m happy that this matches the pick guard on front. ... show more

So I got this for a partscaster I'm building. I can't tell you if the holes line up with since my body doesn't have holes predrilled. I can't tell you if the screws provided are worth a flip...based on past partscaster builds I only use locally supplied steel screws for pickguards.. then I don't have to tap nasty potmetal screws out of my fancy wood, and I can continue to reuse any screw that comes off my builds. These might be ok.. I'm just not going to try them. The guard itself seems to be the same material and rigidity that you'd expect to find on most fenders. But now I have a backplate with some cash left over so I can get some other cool stuff. I like cool stuff, so I'm happy with this purchase. ... show more

My first Squier Strat is getting a once over without me being aware of the differences between Fender and Squier. My new trem cover was not made for my Squier. However, I did find a hole that, when lined up with the opening for the string holes, the other five screw holes were on top of solid wood and in perfect placement. After drilling new holes, I attached it with the black screws I also bought. What a difference. It looks so much better than that cheap, thin, white cover it replaced.
