Hey guys, I've been using this product for 18 years! and have a few things to share plus some note about negative reviews I've seen. Firstly I started using Muscle milk after a severely broken leg to help me recover more quickly in preparation for my sports season. not only did I accelerate my recovery time I notice accelerated gains in the rest of my training program which was AWESOME!! so after my recovery I kept using this product. I've tried many other protein powders over the years especially during my competitive powerlifting days trying to find the "Best one" and always found myself coming back to this brand for 3 main reasons. 1) It works! as stated above it helped me recover from severe injuries quickly and accelerate my lifting gains when healthy. 2) it tastes great! I've tried all the flavors (Even root beer) and they are all great, my favorite is banana cream because the flavor mixes well with other ingredients such as peanut butter, oat mean, fruit or what ever else I'm trying to sneak into my diet. Because it tastes good Im very consistent about taking it which leads to better results. many other brands I've tried leave a funky taste in my mouth or have a ton of sugars and junk in them that leave my stomach out of wack for a few hours. This product doesn't mess you up like other stuff does. 3) My final note is when I'm taking muscle milk I never get sick, I don't know why but for the last 10 years I've taken at least one serving daily and I haven't been sick once, maybe it's dumb luck but the added vitamins and stuff can't hurt! Some thoughts about the complaints and negative reviews I've seen. 1) Muscle milk has several product lines. they have a lean version, a normal version, and a weight gainer version. they all taste a little different due the formula differences to hit the target Macros. the packaging looks very similar so I can see why people might get confused. 2) This product has been one of the best selling protein powders since it came out in 2000 (over 20 years!!) not only should that speak for itself but it also makes it a target for competitors to leave negative reviews to try and boost their own product sales. Bottom line, this stuff works! it's been selling well for 20+ years, and it taste great, you can't go wrong, just buy it and go lift some weights! Cheers! ... show more

    • Delicious protein on the go
I love that these are portable and provide a heavy dose of protein on the go when I don’t have time to mix a proper shake. Some people will criticize and compare to a protein powder but I don’t think you can claim superiority that way it’s like comparing the interior of a Ford vs Mercedes. Not that either is bad but they’re catering to different markets. This stuff tastes great! Unlike some protein powders which can have that grainy feel or “settle out” or have that chalky after taste and feel you won’t get that with muscle milk. If you don’t have time to mix your shake or need something that won’t spoil and can sit at room temp or in your car/gym bag or at the office in your desk always at the ready I highly recommend these! I keep these at work and drink on my way out the door before hitting the gym. They’re quick and easy and I don’t have to worry about cleaning a blender bottle later or having it leak in my gym bag for post workout refueling. Pre and post workout proteins are essential for more effective workouts, powering you through and supporting recovery. Not everyone spends $100s/mo on different proteins and pre/post workout combinations and this is fine for someone who just wants to improve their lifestyle and workout effectiveness. There are plenty of sites and forums for more serious enthusiasts of workout fitness and diet/exercise but for the average person getting started these will work just fine for you. These can also serve as a great meal replacement. Something is always better than nothing if you’re too busy to stop and eat but these are a healthier and less expensive option than fast food that travel anywhere, so why not? Get these on subscribe and save each month and you’ll always have a ready meal at your fingertips. Don’t read this and think it’s a miracle and you can just drink 3-4 of these a day to lose weight. Staying healthy and losing weight requires a well balanced diet and exercise.     • Love the macro, hate the taste
It's hard to get the right amount of protein in but these shakes make it so much easier to meet protein goals. I'm always on the lookout for protein shakes with the most amount of protein. This one definitely was economical for the amount of protein it has. The packaging is great and Amazon did a good job securely putting it in a box. When the package got to my house, there was no damage and everything was intact. I kept the drinks in the refrigerator until they got cold because protein shakes are better when they're cold in my experience. After I took the first sip, I nearly spat it out. It has a disgusting chocolate flavor that is hard to describe. If anybody has ever had Slim-Fast shakes, it tastes similar to that. The taste like a combination of metal and chocolate. The flavor lingers and you got to eat something else to get rid of the flavor. I just finished one of the four packs and I was able to do that with the help of drinking kombucha afterwards to get rid of the metal taste. I am going to finish all the shakes that came in my box, but I am not sure if I will reorder this flavor.     • These are stupid cheap and great
I generally dislike protein powder and got into the habit of treating it like medicine. Water + protein now chug. I tried MM out and surprisingly enjoyed the flavor. One serving also had about as much protein as my nasty mixtures. The local prices for MM were way too high though but when I found it here on the Zon for LESS money than in store and LESS money / serving than even my powdered stuff I had to buy. Having a few cases of these ready-to-drink shakes ready has made my mornings even easier. No cleanup and no gagging on not-yet-dissolved chunks of powder. Great flavor. Great price.
