  • Bang for the Buck!!!
Style: Green
This was the cheapest line set I could find. I didn't need any $200 setup, just something better than the standard ski rope we've been using. What a difference, we pull up out of the water faster, and the line makes you feel way more connected to the boat than the stretchy ski rope did. Great purchase, time will tell how it holds up. ... show more

  • Wow, tow sports have come a long way
Style: Green
I still can't get over how thin this style of rope is and the lack of flex. I grew up skiing and am used to the classic nylon ropes and the slight bungee effect you get from using those. It is such a nice transition from what I am used to. I am actually excited to have my parents try it next summer because I think that having the power come quicker due to less stretch might help their slalom skiing abilities. I like that the handle is wider than what I am used to. It definitely makes my limited kneeboard tricks a bit easier to pull off. ... show more

  • Non-stretch ski rope
Style: Green
I have had a ski/wakeboard boat for the last 30 years. Originally I always used the standard inexpensive braided nylon ski ropes. I few years ago my son bought a similar non-stretch ski rope for wakeboarding. The special thing about this type of rope is that it doesn't stretch. The rope is made out of the same material that commercial fishing nets are made of. Those net have to be able to hold up to tons of pressure from being towed in the oceans with a load of fish. That may sound like it is not a big deal, but you can't understand how much of a difference this type of rope makes to a skier until you use one. Braided nylon ropes stretch when the power from the boat is put on the rope with the weight of the skier in the water. The skier will feel the pull of the boat, but until the nylon rope has stretched out the skier will not be accelerated to be able to stand up. This means the skier has to take the pressure of the boat for a longer time before they can get up. Getting out of the water when being pulled with this type of rope is faster and less fatiguing for the skier. ... show more

  • Setting rope length is a breeze.
I appreciate the modular system of this rope. Helps in switching from a wake boarder to a tuber quickly.

  • It's a quality tow rope
Style: Green
I've had several tow ropes and boats to go with them over the years. Dyneema, which is basically spectra, is the stuff you want for high torque sports like wakeboarding. What's to love about this one is the jacketing on the entire rope. It helps to keep it from tangling (don't coil your rope until you are done for the day people. Trust me). It keeps it from abrading on things like boat corners and cleats when you're picking up riders, etc. Also, the handle is essentially identical to the big boys out there. Wide, comfy foam, with floaty bits to keep it on top of the water. Expect to pay twice as much for this exact tow rope if it were stamped with one of the big names on it. Recommended. ... show more

  • Too thin for wake boarding
Style: Green
The rope might be fine for kids wake boarding, but not for 200/+ pound adults. It broke the first time it was used. Seller was happy to give a full refund and offered to send a new one.

  • Crisp handling, nice adjustability
Style: Green
The handle is big. This may be good or bad depending on what you want to do. This rope was a little heavier than I expected but is not really noticed when getting pulled in the water. The fact that this rope doesn’t stretch makes it handle very differently from a cheap rope. You can really feel the different pulling forces of the boat. To me, it feels “crisper” than the other ropes I’ve used. The handle is also very comfortable to hold for long periods of time. The color does not make any difference in the performance, but it sure adds to the fun. The kids love it. Lastly, the storage bag is nice. It will probably get abused, but it’s a premium bag for a premium rope. It has the given mesh side so it can dry out. The other side is padded. If I want to get another higher end rope, I’d grab another one of these. ... show more
