So I needed these so my pup wouldn't chew on my cord. They are very nice and customer service was great at helping with what I am about to say... Here was the issue. First off, my puppy did not chew on this. This was jus† a few weeks old at the time too. But one day I plugged this in to the wall and I noticed a slight pop noise. When I looked at the cord, there must have been a short in it. It was powerful enough it split the metal shell into two complete parts where the cord was exposed and I could see a dark spot on the white cord under. Meaning it must have shorted out. This was very concerning. Made me think if I wasn't home and what could have happened. Or what if it shocked me. It's a metal shell after all. So that is very concerning. I would suggest not leaving it plugged in while you are away. But Customer service promptly sent me a new one. Conclusion: I can only give this 4 stars for that reason. If you want to make sure your dog doesn't eat up your cords, this is your cord. But be wary of my story. I think this could be a great cord for your car or on the go cord. This could have been a one off thing. And finishing, customer service was very fast at responding and replaced it fast. So I don't want this to seem like a bad product. I’ve had this cord 3 months and it broke off in my new iPad tonight. I was able to save the iPad with tweezers and pull the charger end out. The cord had been working on and off this week so I guess it was falling apart then. I really expect longer than 3 months for the price.
