I researched into the MPG 491CQP QD-OLED and it uses the same Samsung panel as the G9 OLED except reviewers mentioned MSI having a better monitor software. The image quality is really pleasing, specially if you’re playing a videogame or watching a film that makes use of the true dark OLED monitors can display, but even when you aren’ everything looks so vivid and the 32:9 aspect ratio makes it feel like I’m right there. It comes with a nice 144hz refresh rate which makes movement look very fluid. Another reason why I bought it was for OLED care 2.0, which according to independent testing it can prevent and even revert some burn in image damage. ... show more

Coming from a dual screen side by side screen with a TV monitor above setup this is a major upgrade, being a 31x9 aspect ratio monitor it is like having 2 monitors side by side without a split but you gain more than that. By losing the split between the 2 Monitors this is wide enough to put 3 sets of browser windows across and have them plenty big enough to use. Picture wise this blows my old monitors out of the water, some reviews say they see issue with text quality as I type this on a white background I cannot see any the "issue" they were complaining about as this is as sharp of a picture I have ever had on any monitor, and the colors are also crazy good. I do use this in a dark room so glare is not an issue, only had it a few days so far but I am already trying to figure out how to get one for work. The stand is stable and the adjustments of height swivel and tilt are great. The MSI software so far looks to work well to control the monitor, it is a little slow, but is so much easier than trying to use the built in menus on the monitor itself (but even that is not bad compared to many other monitor I have used over the years). Gaming wise you can't go wrong with this other than it will take a powerful card to play AAA titles at full res. ... show more

I recently replaced my 34-inch Dell S3422DWG monitor with the MSI MPG 491CQP QD-OLED, and let me tell you, the difference is mind-blowing! The OLED display offers incredible brightness and picture quality, all at an unbeatable price. I got a fantastic deal on it, which made it even more appealing. The burn-in protection and warranty (3 years!) are also great, although the protection does need to run every 16 hours of usage, which can be a bit of a hassle unless you set it up to do it when the monitor is on standby (highly recommended). Oh, and don’t forget to get a monitor arm! I got an MSI MAG MT201, and it’s been a game-changer. My desk is 30 inches deep, and without the arm, the monitor was a bit too close. The only downside I’ve had is that the included cables won’t long enough for my setup, especially the power cable. ... show more

i love how the monitor was simply pug and play it's working beautifully but i just got it still i am love with the large screen it looks fantastic crystal clear picture with natural color blend i need to work with the settings i have yet done it but i love my beautiful monitor

This panel is available by many other retailers however MSI's implementation is top-notch. Fan-less design with a good OSD, and the panel doesn't glitch out like some other manufacturers.
