I spent ages trying to find a weatherproof narrow table which was high enough to put next to my 40" tall hot tub. When I finally stumbled across this I yelled Eureka! The product design, packaging, and instructions are all superb with great attention to detail in all respects. Really easy to put together as each pack of fixings and each part is labelled according to the instruction manual (a great detail often missed out on products like this). It took me less than 10 minutes to assemble it with everything going together really nicely. Here's the reason for the lost star. I turned it up the right way having finished the assembly and discovered that one of the three cross bars supporting the slats on the table top had not been welded during manufacture (photo 2). This is a QC inspection issue which I hope the merchant will raise with the manufacturing facility. I'm not sure how this is going to get sorted out but had it not been for this, I'd would have been happy to have purchased a second unit for the other side of the tub. UPDATE: I've exoerienced the best customer support ever from Dora at Mr IRONSTONE. She asked for photos of the box labels to identify the manufacturing facility for corrective action so that future customers don't experience the same fault and that's all I wanted. But they've also agreed to ship a replacement which I consider to be above-and-beyond customer support. Well done! ... show more

It was easy to assemble and is very sturdy. It is the perfect size for our oceanfront balcony. I love the hammered metal frame and the slated top.

    • Great table with a couple small issues
The good: It's sturdy, well made, unobtrusive, and should stand up to being disinfected and pressure washed in outdoor use. I got this for my small business, I receive a lot of packages and this is the perfect standing height to open and unpack things without suffering back pain. The long, narrow form factor means it isn't taking up un-needed space. The adjustable feet work well to adapt it to uneven surfaces. The instructions are clear and parts well labeled for assembly. The bad: Assembly went flawlessly until I got to attaching the legs to the top. The holes for the screws are poorly done and they're very difficult to screw in. I had to use a makeshift breaker bar over the included allen wrench in order to get them in, and just putting in those screws took twice the time of the rest of the assembly. The packaging used a lot of un-recyclable foam and Styrofoam, which will not only break down to microplastics but took up room I don't have to spare in my garbage can. The assembly and packaging takes this from a five star to a four star, but once you get it put together it's great. I might consider a second one as a standing workbench. ... show more

I purchased this Mr IRONSTONE Outdoor Bar Table for the dog porch of our new home. I feed the dogs twice a day and needed a nice table to sit at. I loved the look of this table in the product page, and it looks even better in person. It took about 16 minutes for my wife and me to put it together, and you really need a second person to hold pieces in line while you screw them together. The instructions were clear and easy to read, and everything is labeled with stickers. The parts themselves are not all well made. As you can see in the picture, the top to one screw didn’t have the screwdriver hole cut out of it, so I had to tighten it with a wrench. In the other picture, you can see a screw that I screwed in using a standard cordless screwdriver, not a professional one that’s plugged into the wall and super powerful. The head of the screw actually split under the force of screwing it in. That makes me doubt the quality of the parts included in this package. That’s the only negative about the experience. On positive notes, it comes with four adjustable pads for legs, so I was able to easily level it out and make sure it didn’t wobble. When assembled, it feels heavy and not at all cheap. I like the hammered texture and colors, and it’s the perfect bar height for my porch. I just hope it lasts. Everything seems sturdy, and there aren’t any loose legs or anything, so I’m giving it 4/5 stars for now and will update my review if anything bad happens. UPDATE 03/25/2020: After posting this review, the seller contacted me to arrange replacement parts. They sent an entire bag of parts, which was good because I needed the Allen wrench. I was able to replace the two bad screws without issue, and the new screws and the old screws that weren't defective all worked properly, so I have more confidence in the product now. I've been using the table twice a day and it works perfectly, so I'm upgrading my review from 4 stars to 5 stars. You should definitely give it a try, and great customer service means there is very little to lose. ... show more

My original review is below. I was sent the wrong table by the fulfillment center and was frustrated, but decided to make my own outdoor/waterproof top because I didn't have time to wait for another. However, Mr.Ironstone emailed me when they saw my review and offered to refund me without returning my modified table! I actually thought it was too good to be true, but I was wrong. I've never dealt with a company so concerned with customer satisfaction! Original: Not as described! I got this for outdoor use, as the description says. After we got the table and started assembling, we saw the top was press board. Then there were very specific directions NOT to leave outside. The metal frame is good. I needed it asap. So now I will bring it in and out until it can be modified. ... show more
