Love the cups and spoons. They were packaged without padding so the handles on 2 were broken but Amazon is sending me new ones no charge! They seem a little fragile but I haven't used them yet so we'll see.

Had to send back because delivery person threw the package on the porch. Breaking them. Was given replacement mugs and driver did the same. Need to either package them better or train delivery person how to handle packages. Still love the mugs.

Nice looking set of coffee mugs for the price, but with anything theme-based there are a few compromises, which is to be expected. One is that these mugs are thin walled, the rim is only an eighth of an inch thick so do not expect your coffee or tea to stay warm for long in cool weather. Next, no matter that the bottom rim is exposed, the inset bottom is glazed by the mug's color. (Which looks nice instead of cheap.) Because of the natural rim I did try one briefly on my Mr. Coffee cup warmer. Briefly, since after a few seconds there was an intense paint smell issuing. Nothing burning, just when the bottom gets heated like that the paint used out-gasses. The mugs have no smell otherwise and have been through the dishwasher a few times since receiving with no problem. No chips or image color fading. Another good aspect of the mugs is that they do have a wide bottom so are nice and stable and would take a bit to knock over. The mug size in general is large but not jumbo unusable as some theme items are. I like these for my chicory-coffee blend since it is equal portion coffee and milk so can get the whole batch in one cup perfectly. I have not used the spoon as yet, but would hand-wash these since I can see breakage when rattled in the dishwasher. Summing up, these are good looking, colorful themed coffee mugs perfect for summer or warm weather use or if you just want some decoration in your coffee area. Usable, very nicely priced set as a present to yourself or anyone else who likes coffee. Even the clear top packaging box has it a nice looking gift set. Cheers. ... show more
