This Xi5 Wireless Freshwater model has composite shaft material and a 3-blade Machete III Glass-Filled propeller, wireless foot-pedal controller, digital variable speed controls, forward motor direction, battery meter, and handheld wireless remote is available as an accessory. The wireless control is a standard feature of the Xi5 – not the expensive add-on it is for many competitive motors – so you can fish from anywhere on the boat using the convenient wireless foot-pedal controller. The wireless pedal provides outstanding motor control as its intuitive, pro-style "heel-toe" operation controls steering that is extremely quiet, precise, and 50-percent faster than competitive controllers. Digital variable speed control enables exceptional low-speed trolling capability and longer run time. The Xi5 features an easy-to-read LED dashboard that lets you quickly check the status of key functions in any light conditions, including: Power ON/System Ready; Propeller ON; Pinpoint GPS System Active; and three levels of battery life. The built-in 83/200 kHz sonar transducer delivers industry-leading clarity and detail, so you can identify more fish and structure. It has an integrated temperature sensor and epoxy- potted nose cone for maximum protection. Sonar adapter cables ensure compatibility with most leading sonar brands. The Pinpoint® GPS is the industry’s most accurate GPS, and it provides 3 times the precision control and a tighter hold on your anchor point. Teaming it with versatile Lowrance® displays (sold separately) makes it easy to maximize Pinpoint® GPS control and functionality to create new fishing strategies. The Xi5 features an improved, low-profile mount. The base uses corrosion-resistant anodized aluminum and the hardware components are stainless steel throughout, including the durable linkage. The unique stow and deploy mechanism aligns and guides the motor into the stowed position and secures it in place. For added safety, a secondary lock prevents unintentional deployment and potential damage. The new composite shaft is so capable of managing any obstructions – it will bend but won't break – that it is backed by a lifetime warranty. This Xi5-55FW 48-Inch 12V Wireless Trolling Motor delivers 55 pounds of peak thrust and has a 48-inch- long composite shaft with a 3-blade Machete III Glass-Filled propeller. This 12-volt motor has a maximum draw of 52 amps. It is recommended for boat lengths of 14-18 feet.
