I am not experiencing any of the minor issues people are having with this prop. The only time I have more vibration then normal is when the motor is running and I make a sharper turn. It vibrates like crazy when it does that but I don’t do it very often. No big deal. Doesn’t increase too speed much, but DEFINITELY a huge improvement with weeds, I have confidence moving through pads and thicker vegetation with this prop on. Definitely more thrust and top speed but definitely more noise and vibration at high speed too. Under normal operation anchoring or moving slowly it is fine. Seems to turn more slowly holding the boat still in mild current. I think the thicker material will be more durable when bouncing off of the occasional oyster rake than the thin edges on the other two motorguide props. I’m happy with it after the first use and think it will prove to be the best of the three. ... show more

The blade fit perfectly. I do think that this prop has more power but it has more vibration but all being said it is a good prop blade.

    • Speed gaining and great in sparse weeds.
The katana is a must have for the xi3 I gained .5 miles in speed and the emerging vegetation is not longer a problem cuts through it efficiently . Highly recommend

After installation there was rubbing on the motor housing. It may have resolved itself but i made a small modification. The area of rubbing was marked on the prop hub when I removed it. I took a Dremel with a 1/8th inch bit to remove about 1/16th of an inch of material off the "spokes" inside the hub (see image). This was sufficient to allow the prop to rotate freely. Super easy modification. I believe this will be better in the weeds than my 3 blade prop, but I haven't gotten the boat out yet. I doubt I'll notice any improvement in battery life as I never fully deplete my battery. ... show more

Didn't see any performance upgrade or 30% more efficient on batteries. Noisy and added vibration running past 7/10 speed. Does fit my X5 nicely
