    • At Least They are Too Long, Not Too Short!
I took the key to my local hardware store to cut the key and they quickly learned their equipment is not capable of cutting the key accurately, so they referred me to a Locksmith with "All the right tools to cut keys". They compared my key with the blank and noticed that it is the same shape so they went on to cut the key. After cutting the key, they noticed that the new key was longer than the original key. The locksmith told me they couldn't guarantee the key would work, but they nipped off the end. With almost no extra cajoling the new key fit in the motorcycle ignition and I fired up the bike. Plus, I like it comes in more colors than just Black. Overall, I recommend this key as a good blank for my Yamaha RoadStar. ... show more

I bought these for a 2006 Yamaha Royal Star Midnight Venture that only came with one key. These were perfect blanks, had all three cut at a locksmith and every one works great.

Went to Honda shop and they cut them to my old key. They all worked as good as oem. Now I have extras!!! Would recommend

    • They’re not Yamaha keys
They fit my road are perfectly fine. They’re a bit longer than the factory key and the little road star logo is very cheap and tends to come off but it’s a key and it fits my bike so I can’t really complain.

    • Nice looking keys.
I went to a local lock smith and they cut them for $5 each. No promise that it would work so I was a little nervous but everything turned out great. They are a perfect fit and now I have spares. I only cut the blue and black one. I didn’t really need 3 spares so I put the red one away for a raining day. Others said that they had problems with the red but it looked the same as the other 2 to me so I can’t say if it works on not for sure but I was more than happy with the 2 spares.
