I have never purchased the invisible wire type of extension before, and I actually love it. I will have to dye my hair to match it, but even with two different tones, I’m loving it. I’m not much of a curl or wave person — too lazy for all that, so of course I had to play with it some to make the blend more natural. But if I did curl my hair, it would look awesome. But even on the low maintenance side, I enjoyed making two ponytails and pinning it up too for a sexy, messy look. (See my photos, and please ignore how shiny I am— it’s so hot today and I had just came home from working out at Physical Therepy.) For this to work for me, I needed to put *all* my hair up on top of my head, set the extension on the nape and forehead, let my hair down, the pull pieces out from beneath the wire. When I tried to do it the way it read in the directions, it did not stay. I guess I have a weird head shape. However, I must admit I prefer it at my nape because it doesn’t leave a lump under the hair. It made for a seamless transition. In some ways, volume is your friend here, which is probably why those who take the time to curl their hair look so awesome. Although the color is slightly off my hair color, I was able to adjust with some petiole shampoo in my hair to rid the brassy tone. The extension looks and feels real! And looks amazing! It took some getting used to because I’ve never worn any kind of extensions or wig of any kind, so it felt a little funny, but it wasn’t a bad thing! It made me feel like a million bucks! I’ve always had long hair! But back in March I chopped my hair off, so having it back long again was amazing!!! For being a cheaper product the quality was a lot higher than expected!!!! Just what the Dr ordered - needed a pick me up and this lil extra piece of hair did just that!! I got the brown copper - my hair is already long and in a gypsy/ shag cut.. but this added about 4 inches to my length- it is soft and feels nice - not like plastic. No odor, includes a little brush comb combo that glides through it easily. The hairpiece does have some weight to it but nothing like a full wig would be I think… literally thru this in and snapped these pics 5 minutes later- can’t wait to style it and wear it out!! I was so excited when I opened up the product, when I quickly realized the halo was absolutely the best color match for my hair (natural beige blonde) and it is so easy to clip in! I also loved how the product comes with everything you need, a comb, Bobby pins to hold the halo securely in place and extra halo string. These all came in handy. The quality of this hair is wonderful. It is soft and has a slight shine that is natural looking, unlike some fake hair that is Uber shiny. The color is a dark red auburn, like an auburn brown box dye, unlike the item photo which shows a more natural auburn/copper color. I have natural dark ginger hair much like the model in the photos but compared to the *red red* extensions my hair looks much more yellow. When I bought the extension I didn’t have any high expectations, but it really surprised me. The color was a really good match. It was worth the price. The only reason I am giving four stars is because the hair wouldn’t hold a curl well. I used a heatless curl thing I also bought from amazon. I am a afraid to use heat considering how cheap it was.
