    • Very flexible design to use as you wish
We are using this to trellis some of the garden vegetable vines this year. The design of the components make it very easy to do whatever we like with them. The panels are all the same, there is no top/bottom or left/right variations but you do need to assemble them 2 wide to have a box frame on each side. With this flexibility, we can build an a-frame trellis 2 high or 3 high or 4 high. The box rail is very sturdy, the opening size and strength of the grid will work well for supporting the vines and vegetables. The welds seem strong and the black finish on all the panels and hardware is very good. It comes with an Allen wrench and stamped metal open wrench for assemble and these are very adequate for assembling the panels together. We wouldn't recommend using power tools to assemble as it could be easy to cross-thread and strip the post connections but the hand tools work fine. If we had to complain about something it would be the generous size holes to connect the 2 panels side by side allowing the panels to not be perfectly lined up front to back and top to bottom. It took a little extra effort to line them up in both directions before tightening (because we're fussy about things like that). Parts count: 8 stakes,16 panels, 9 post caps, 33 screws for connecting panels together, 9 screws for connecting box rails together (like a straight fence), and 25 nuts. It is nice that they include spare hardware. There are no clips or zip ties to connect assemble panel assembles together other than the screws and nuts to connect in a straight line. If you are doing an a-frame like us or a square or octagon as they show in the pictures you will want to use UV stable zip ties to strengthen the connection at the top (the bottom of each panel assembly will be securely staked individually in the ground). Pricewise, this seems expensive for a 30 inch high, 8 foot long fence, but for the trellising we are doing and the flexibility to change it, the price seems fair. ... show more

    • Decent lightweight, small section of fence
I'm using this fence to keep my dogs out of areas of the yard where they've started to dig, and it's working fine for that. After that, I'll probably grow vines on it in front of my AC unit to screen out the view from my patio. It's a pretty small section of fencing. So enough to screen out an AC compressor and that's about it. Seems fairly durable, though a bit bendy. Will probably last at least a few years. ... show more

    • 16 HALF Panels
Look carefully at the pictures. That one assembled octagon is all the panels you are going to get. That picture that they show around a raised bed of vegetables with a green check on it? You're gonna need more than one box of these to do that. What you do get is 16 HALF panels that need a bit of assembly to be 8 panels to make the octagon you see or 4 double height panels. But, disappointingly, you actually can't make that octagon because you only get 8 ground stakes (enough to ground stake 4 panels.) So plan that all you're really going to be able to make of this is 2 of the trellises that leans together in an inverted V. (But also, you're going to have to get yourself some zip ties or something because they don't include any screws to secure the panels together at the top.) The instructions are understandable but not entirely easy or obvious. The metal does seem quality. But figure you're gonna spend about an hour putting this all together and understand the pictures of what you can make of this are misleading. ... show more

    • Incorrect description - you get only half the amount stated in title
The product is fine. Assembly required but it wasn't complicated and the minor/simple tools are included. Because the legs are of sufficient length, the fence does stay in place well. The black coating on this metal fence is well done - I'm not careful and expects chips, but none on this fencing. Both the title of the item and in the description the product's dimensions are stated as "41.7in(H)*16.2ft(L)." But after assembly you end up with only 41.7" High x 8.1' Long. Someone better than me at math would have realized this from the rest of the description. ... show more
