The word "tote" implies a large, carryall type bag - that's not what this is. It's tiny and is more the size of a small purse. Other than the size deception, the bag is amazing: gorgeous colors and fabric, pretty durable and came at a great price. This is my first Montana West handbag. I've been admiring them for a while now, but when I found this darling handbag/tote in a vibrant pink, I knew that this was the one I wanted! This handbag measures 15" across by 11" tall x 6" wide. This design is called Cashew Flower Satchel, and its color is Shiny Hot Pink with paisleys, flowers, and sparkly rhinestones scattered over it. The fabric feels like a cross between cotton and linen, but is maybe faux linen. The purse is to be dry-cleaned only, not washed. (Perhaps you can wipe detritus off with a dry cloth.) This tote/handbag has a very solid feel to it, as if were lined on the front and back with thick cardboard inside the fabric. (I think it might be.) The bottom is very sturdy too, with the end sides of the tote softer and more flexible. The handles are obviously lined and sewn on, in a half circle shape. They're very sturdy. In addition, Montana West has included an additional guitar strap which turns the handbag into a shoulder bag. That strap attaches to D-rings on the purse with metal clips. The strap itself is darling! It's a combination of patterned twill (with the pink paisley Cashew Flower) and pink faux leather. This bag has a lot of pockets and fun extras. Outside, there's a vivid pink faux leather slip leather pocket. Underneath that, there's a large pocket with a vertical zipper to open it. The inside of the bag is lined with pink fabric. There's an open fabric pocket that stretches the entire length of the bag. Facing that on the other side, there's a zip pocket that's just a few inches shorter. Last, there's a zipper which closes most of the bag (but there's a little space at each end that's open. That makes the bag easy to slip something into it without having to unzip the whole bag (like your phone or keys). Darling bag that is so utilitarian--but looks cheerful and festive! As I have come to expect from the Montana West brand, this tote bag is beautiful to look at with very nice quality construction. The color looks exactly as pictured on the product page (very pretty!) and the little sequins add just the right amount of sparkle, not too much, not too little. The satchel handles are very sturdily sewn and there is a very wide, strong guitar strap included. I love the printed fabric and bulky hardware on the strap, it really suits the size of the tote bag. On the back of the bag is a cute little faux leather pouch where a cell phone could be kept and a large zipper compartment that could fit a book. The inside is very roomy with a main compartment, a large pouch and another zippered compartment. The inside zippered compartment is loose from the wall of the bag so that it can really be stuffed full if needed- a thoughtful design touch. My only complaint about this beautiful tote is the zipper over the main compartment. This zipper does not extend the entire width of the bag (see picture). When the zipper is zipped up I can literally put my hand inside the main compartment. I don't know why this shorter zipper is used as it seems impractical, allowing items to potentially fall out and not great for security purposes. I did deduct one star due to this. Even with that, there are two other zippered compartments that are secure so I won't dwell on the main compartment zipper. I really love this tote bag, it's practical for lugging a bunch of stuff around and very pretty on top of that. Since I can already picture my granddaughter salivating over this watermelon tote bag, I am quite sure I will be ordering another bag in a different color for myself. ... show more

I love Montana West brand and their purses. Western style with unique designs. This one is so unusual. It’s very vibrant and stylish. It has good capacity, manny pockets and it is pretty sturdy. For some reason I like the back design with the PU leather pocket a bit better. But I can use both sides which is awesome. I’m not sure how it will be performing if it needs to be cleaned because it’s canvas material and I haven’t had it out for to many times to get it dirty or have any spills or stains on it. I hope it’ll do great during cleaning. ... show more
