This has been the most fun addition to our monster truck adventures since his very first truck was ripped out of the packaging. It embraces all the imaginative scenarios a boy and his cousins can invent and holds up to all their shenanigans. Yes, it just clips together like a puzzle and will come apart easily. So what? They pretend it’s an earth shaker accident & put it back together. Yes, there’s only 2 pounds of sand and the box shows more. You’re going to buy another truck anyway. Get the one that comes with extra ramps and a pound of sand. I recommend a set of CAT construction vehicles for additional hours of fun. I love the rough sand texture. We do not have problems with it sticking to anything. It is so much better than the traditional kinetic sand. Buy this. I originally gave this 5 stars but after using it for a while I’m actually regretting the purchase. This set falls apart so easy. You cannot even pick it up to move locations with out the bottom folding in. The sides come off if you barely “crash” into it with a monster truck. You can’t do anything monster truck related without being a little sturdy. Be prepared for sand to be every where ... show more

My son loves but was very upset it doesn’t have enough sand to fill the ground even if you don’t fill the center jump. Would be nice if they supplied more sand and a base so it would not leak sand all over the floor! Over all great choice for his 4th birthday party!

My kids loved this for a time. I think it’s pretty cute. The pieces of the arena forming the edge don’t affix too strongly so it can be a little frustrating for me as the parent that the pieces fall off. So you are not going to have a secure holding space for the kinetic sand necessarily. It doesn’t matter too much since the sand is quite solid. As others have said, I would definitely at least double the amount of sand in there. I used to use a collapsible laundry hamper to hold my kinetic sand and I kind of still like that better although this product definitely is more visually interesting and aligned specifically to monster truck play. ... show more

Our 3 year old is super into monster trucks. This set is nice, and he does like it. But when I opened it up what they say is 2 pounds of sand, really isn't that much. The box picture makes it seem like more. So we will definitely have to get more down the road to add and replace.

Bought this for my 6-year-old grandson’s birthday and he loves it! He adds some of his Hot Wheels cars and super-hero figures to the mix, and he has a blast!
