Pros: This has to be one of Mattel’s best Monster High designs to date. Amazing detail from the clothing right down to the box. She’s absolutely stunning to see in person. I’d say she’s worth her price, some will feel differently and that’d valid. Each individual piece of the outfit is crafted with attention to detail and amazing fabrics. The hair looks amazing even *in box*!! She’s perfect for display if you don’t want to remove her, poses and photographs beautifully if you do. Cons: In the future for exclusive releases I’d like to see a little more planning put in place between Mattel/Monster High and Amazon. Some customers had the ability to select shipping in an amazon box; others did not have the option and some even had the doll sent with no packaging, labels stickered to the doll’s box itself and ruining collector value. When I called customer support, they had no idea how to tell if my preorder would come with the outer box or not. Myself and SEVERAL other customers experienced issues with receiving damaged boxes and being told this was not a means for refund. Some boxes came in tissue wrapping; mine came with some of the tape on the top sliced or otherwise peeled, with traces of said tissue paper left behind. Due to this, the box is not pristine. It also has several dents, smudges and finger prints that won’t buff out, a few tears in the cardboard, and one tab was completely removed. While this is not an issue for me personally as an Out Of Box collector, I still think this is disappointing from a collector’s perspective, especially with it being a limited release and store exclusive with very little availability for replacements. ... show more

    • Absolutely gorgeous! Discounted/Amazon warehouse option is great for OOB collectors.
Was lucky enough to snag this doll at a slightly discounted price from the Amazon warehouse offer. It shipped super-quickly which was a nice surprise as I don't have Prime. Of course, because it was an Amazon warehouse deal, I figured it was likely a return, and thus expected some box damage. There was; the top of the box was smashed, a drink had been spilled on the back, and there was quite a lot of sticker residue on the front, which covered the window that shows the doll...so she had to be unboxed. However, I'm an OOB collector so I did not mind having to unbox her at all...so if you're like me and like to unbox your dolls, and you'd like to save a little $$$ (as this doll is EXPENSIVE), if you see an option to buy a discounted return it may be worth it. Despite the severe box damage, the doll was in perfect condition...and she's all that matters to me. Anyway, as other reviews have said, this doll is gorgeous! Draculaura is my most-collected MH character and this is easily my favorite doll she's gotten. If you're able to get her, she's definitely worth it...she's beautiful and detailed and just a lovely piece for collectors! ... show more

I’m so happy to own this doll, she’s for sure one of the best monster high releases by FAR. $100 is a steep price but she’s worth every dollar, the details are immaculate and her outfit is really high quality. The lace bodysuit is a separate piece which surprised me, and in typical monster high fashion the shoes are incredible. Luckily mine sustained no damage, I know a lot of people were sent pretty beat up boxes. My only real complaint is that for those who do unbox her, she’s a hell of a pain to remove from the packaging. I understand these types of dolls are meant to stay in box but WOW did she not want to come out. Other than that she’s absolutely gorgeous and a beautiful addition to my collection. ... show more

This doll is absolutely stunning and worth every penny. Getting one can be a pain if you missed the original drop, but even this one I snagged from the warehouse "used - like new" there was not a thing wrong with it that I could tell. This was purchased as a gift for someone but I have one of my own, and keeping her in box does not do her justice! All the details are very nice. Like stitched frankie, her stand is a bit too tall for her, so you may need to slip something under her shoes to keep her stable, but as that's hidden under the ball gown that's easily remedied. If you are a collector of MH but in particular draculaura, this is NOT a doll you want to miss!! ... show more

    • Very detailed but also has weird construction.
For a $100 doll, I would expect the skirt of the dress be attached to the drapings at edge of the skirt. There are pockets of no hem/seams in between and the skirt would just indent and pucker...it's really annoying. It's definitely going to crease and the plastic will yellow over time. It was probably cheaper to make the skirt out plastic instead of custom lace but I am curious if this was the only way to execute the design. Also why is the skirt literally hanging by individual threads? I've seen people seamrip it to give her a mini skirt but I can't tell it that is a feature, or if the manufacturer thought that loose threads can hold together a dress and hope most people just keep her in box to not notice. Overall a very pretty and detailed doll but the more that I look at it, it feels like they still cut corners on her. I'm glad nothing was missing or that the package was mishandled like some people had received her. ... show more

The second Vampire Heart Draculaura dropped on Amazon I immediately added her to my cart and checked out! As an Australian, I was really worried about how she was going to arrive as a lot of people were saying that she was being shipped out with shipping labels directly on her box and she would arrive with a crushed box but luckily that wasn’t the case for me! She was my birthday present and arrived a few days earlier than her expected arrival date. The only noticeable damage is the top lid of her box, it’s kind of indented in a weird way which I believe is due to how she was packaged (her box is slightly more rounded so that makes sense) other than that, her factory paint is perfect with no noticeable flaws. I couldn’t be happier with her as my first collector doll and she looks amazing with the rest of my collection! 💗 ... show more
