I really enjoyed working with this book; I do think it can be as simple or over-the-top as you choose to make it. I decided to use colored pens to write as well as a doodle or two on each page. You can definitely go simpler and just use a pen. I liked that the prompts weren't just based on looks (hardly any prompts dealt with looks, I think I had one prompt about clothing). Got 4 if these for my kids for them to give for mothers day. Cute little book. Some of the questions might have gone over their heads, they aren't quite as thoughtful as some of these questions can be. Several different ones out there. Too bad not all of them let you see the inside questions before purchase. We usually do something practical/consumable for her on Mother's Day but this year she got 4 nice little mementos from the kids ... show more
