This product is amazing to remove the dark color of mold. I squirted it down the corners of the tiled shower walls, smoothed it out and within an hour or so it went from black to a color that coincidentally matches the beige grout we do have! I did wear gloves and eye cover. I did get a drop on my wrist and it did burn a little and turn red. So be careful. The shower looks newer and of course cleaner and more inviting. Really wish I would’ve thought to take before and after photos but honestly, I wasn’t anticipating it actually working, at least not this well. Before using this product I tried everything on the chaulk around my bedroom window. Most recently used bleach and a toothbrush to scrub and still had lots of dark black mold/mildew staining. I put this on a few hours ago and just went back to look and all the black has completely disappeared. I’m leaving it on the full 5 hours before I remove it, but I’m really impressed. As far as a strong scent idk what people are talking about. It has almost no scent at all. I was worried about this because I’m extremely sensitive to scents. I can hardly stand the laundry and cleaning aisles at the store and I buy all unscented laundry detergent, hand soaps etc. but I was pleasantly surprised I can’t smell this at all.     • Works Well with a Little Patience
The Mold Stain Remover Gel Cleaner by ACTIVE is a solid product for tackling stubborn mold stains, especially in tricky areas like front-loader washing machine seals. The gel formula is a big plus—it stays in place, which makes it much easier to target specific spots without dripping or wasting product. After applying it to the problem areas and letting it sit for a while, the stains were noticeably lighter, and with a bit of scrubbing, most were gone. It’s not an instant fix, though. For deep or long-standing stains, you may need to reapply and give it more time to work. The smell is a bit strong, but it’s tolerable and fades quickly. Overall, this cleaner is effective, easy to use, and a great solution for maintaining a clean and fresh washing machine and bathroom. I don't think my grout was moldy, but it was dirty. This floor is in my short term rental in Waikiki, so lots of dirty bare feet and cooking grease work worked into it. I tried many other cleaners, even leaving bleach sitting overnight to try to clean my grout. Nothing worked until ACTIVE MOLD STAIN REMOVER. It didn't work like the directions - to leave it to dry then wipe it off with a damp cloth. Next, I tried scrubbing the gel into the grout with a wet toothbrush which lifted the dirt, then I used a floor cleaning machine to suck everything up so that the dirt could't settle back onto the grout. I went over some places twice using this method. I let the grout dry overnight and it looked much better, but I plan to clean some areas again before I put a seal over the grout. ... show more

I'm honestly kind of shocked at how well this stuff worked on my rubber washing machine gasket! I've used other products from Active and everything have worked well, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to at least try it. After reading the reviews, I bought two bottles in case one wasn't enough and gave it a go. This Samsung HE washing machine has been in use for over a decade and I've never successful been able to clean these spots with normal cleaner or regular bleach. So that tells you how set in they were! When I opened the bottle there was a faint bleach scent too it, but the smell wasn't overwhelming and I could take my time working with it. I spread a thin layer of it over all the stained spots, not wanting to waste any. The stickiness of the product was 10/10! Even putting it at the very top of the ring it did not drop or run! I left it over night, but I noticed before bed that all the staining appeared to be gone already! The next day I verified that yes, everywhere I had put it was now clean and looked brand new! This was honestly a last ditch effort to clean the staining before I just quit trying and tried to replace the whole ring. Needless to say I'm very happy! The bottle is all one solid piece, with a cap that goes on top, so leakage isn't an issue! I 100% recommend you use gloves and protective eye protection, because I'm pretty sure there is bleach in this and you don't want that toxicity on your skin or in your eyes! Now I just have to figure out what do with my other unopened bottle :) ... show more

Decided to try this product before recaulking the bathtub yet again. The best decision ever. The remover worked both on the caulk and on the tile grout. Pretty sure this is the cleanest they have been. It's been now more than a month and the mold stays away too, of course with regular cleaning, but nonetheless. Make sure to get it into all nooks and crannies, it will pay off! ... show more

Works like a dream, kills the mold and mildew. Cleans the mold and mildew in a few hours; all that is left is clean white grout. My only issue is that it takes 3-5 hours.

I didn't have high expectations for this product, but it surprised me! I had a few mold spots in our fairly new shower, so after seeing this advertised, I gave it a try. It was very easy to apply and it took away all but one spot, which I'm going to try to get rid of, again. There's a lot of product in the bottle, so it will last us a long time.
