This mixing glass is a perfect size for mixing one or two cocktails. It is surprisingly heavy for its size to the thick base, and the walls of the glass are fairly thick also. The inside diameter of the glass lets my Sefco-style strainer fit inside very nicely, with maybe a 1/16th of an inch clearance all around. A newer Irving Hawthorne-style strainer fit on top without any problems. A 7 inch cocktail spoon all the way to the bottom while leaving plenty of room for you to grip while stirring. This glass is a bit wider and shorter than a typical pint mixing glass. It is very stable while stirring with ice. An earlier review complained of the pouring-lip not being formed properly, but that seems to have been corrected. I did not experience any spilling when I poured from this mixing glass into a cocktail glass while using either of my strainers. I would only hand-wash this and not put it in a dishwasher. With reasonable care, this glass should last a long time. This is not the most expensive mixing glass out there, but it is handsome enough -- and the price is quite reasonable. ... show more

It feels and looks sturdy, it's got a heavy bottom and thick sides, definitely worth spending a little extra for the quality also it looks fantastic

This is a good quality product. The crystal base is very heavy and solid. I purchased this item because it matches my glasses(from two different brands) in my bar at home. Also, because I prefer my martinis stirred not shaken. LOL! Beautiful looking mixing glass.

    • Solid and weighty, but not tempered
A nice thick wall and heavy feel makes for a great mixing glass. I loved the first one, right up until I accidentally pulled it from the dishwasher too quickly. It's not tempered glass. Fortunately it's cheap enough to just get a new one, but I was bummed.

high quality glass. I really like the weighted bottom which keeps the glass upright & reduces the tendency of tall glasses to tip, works really well for mixing cocktails and straining into the drinking glass. can't go wrong with this one, comfor table in te hand

I used this at my bar (I'm a bartender). I rinsed it out with hot water to continue with my next drink. I can't make a drink in a warm mixing glass so I threw some ice in it to cool it down and it cracked immediately. So, Ive surmised its not tempered glass.
