My 9 year old picked this out for her bed before her scheduled foot surgery. We encouraged her to do her research on various products, read reviews, and then place items in my cart. This helped immensely in giving her a sense of control and allowed her to make decisions in a scenario where she had so few choices. After she was finished I reviewed the items she had chosen to make her "down time" more tolerable. This one was a clear winner. She has a metal framed daybed and wanted this to clamp on the side to hold her water, moisturizers, and other incidentals. It is very well made. It is secured with screw-type clamps and once tightened, this thing does not budge. While I'm not a fan of plastic (it always seems flimsy and prone to breaking/cracking- the kind of material you KNOW you're going to be throwing out in less than a year) this is extremely sturdy. It has been knocked repeatedly with falling crutches, I've hit it on accident while vacuuming her rug, and even hit it with a chair (again, on accident). It's not that there's ANYTHING wrong with this product that causes it to sustain more hits, it's that you're dealing with a harried mom and a 9 year old. So I give it 5 stars for resilience alone. Another benefit of being plastic, is that it is SUPER easy to clean. Either wipe it with a cloth, or easily unclamp the entire thing and take it to the sink for a more thorough wash. Would I ever put it in the dishwasher? NO. But honestly, with the smooth plastic a good run under some very warm water and a little dish soap is all it needs. I have been careful not to get the screw-type clamping mechanisms wet. Which is really not that hard and will keep them functioning like brand new. I also appreciate the nice, high lip that goes around the edge of the tray. It serves a dual purpose: it keeps things from rolling/falling off, and contains any spills from liquids. The molded round indentation in the tray that keeps cups from moving also works very well. Overall, this item is a winner. My daughter really likes it and we live in a very small house so her bedroom is equally small. With limited space she does not have a bedside table, rather a shelf on the wall beside the bed to avoid eating up floor space. Being that she cannot easily reach that shelf during recovery this was the perfect solution. She plans to keep it on her bed permanently because she likes it so much. It's so well made, I see it lasting for years. It is definitely a space-saver in a small space and I could see small-space dwellers liking it. It’s fine but it isn’t luxurious. Designer put the injection molding port right in the middle of the tray, leaving an ugly visual mar. They even photoshop it out of their visuals. So it’s cheap, but it works.

    • Easily One Of the Most Essential College Grabs Ever!

I was trying to look for a bedside table for my college dorm for a very long time. The only plan with the table was to just put it on the side of my bed and to hold all of my things. This product for sure exceeds these expectations! When purchasing this product, I looked around on Amazon and other website for bedside tables to try. I couldn’t really find any of them that were too practical that were at a reasonable price, until I stumbled upon this one. I really was interested by the charging cable slots on the side along with the tiny indent for cups or other drinks along with having the ability to put everything on it at once. Once it arrived, the product was very easy to set up! All I had to do was loosen the screws, tighten it to my loft and it was good to go. The actual structural integrity of the table along with the added features is astonishing. For being in a loft, it’s nice to have a cable holder so then I don’t have to crawl down every time I was to charge my phone in bed (I have no clue how I lived without this for the longest time with this bed). The water bottle holder is by far another bonus to the product, not really intruding on the other space. By far, the nicest feature about this table, is it’s ability to hold all of my belongings. Sometimes, I will have my computer, yeti, an iPad, my phone and a notebook all on this. Not once since getting this product have I needed to worry about any of these things falling or breaking on the ground! Overall, by far one of the most essential products that I wish I would’ve gotten before I moved to college. Looking back, I have no clue how I kept my sanity without having this bedside table. After purchasing a $50 product that claimed to do the same thing, I was apprehensive about this cheaper one. This one is way more secure and super sturdy. Very very easy to install and works well on my metal Amazon bed frame. I’m impressed with the quality. Only request would be to make the drink holder deeper so the cup is more secure and immune to bumping. Overall great product and I’m happy I purchased it. Good enough that I may have to buy a couple more of these for my loft bed. One for each side and one extra so I can make my cat his own bed. Works pretty great, very stable, has some play if you bump it but remains level. No assembly required, just place it and tighten the twist locks. Use a cup that fits the cup holder snugly or the low edge will help you knock it over. There is a shallow inner lip on the tray to prevent small spills onto the bed. Thinking about drilling a drain hole in it: on the floor is better than on the bed. Now let's look at the price. This product is pretty amazing but the materials seem like it could easily be a double or triple package for the same price. Don't get me wrong, it feels high quality but it's just one solid printed piece of plastic with three metal screw assemblies. Plastic is mostly smooth but you can see/feel print lines and some edges are sharp enough to cut skin (inner/bed corners, cord holder edges), how is that $27? Two for that price feels right. PROS: Great functionality, sturdy. CONS: High price for mediocre appearance and material quality. ... show more
