Description

Decorative light switch plates and outlet covers do more than just cover electrical boxes. They are an easy and inexpensive way to make great impact in your home. This stylish collection will add simple elegance to your home's decor. Additional configurations are available to make completing your project easy. From the Manufacturer DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN SCREWS! Due to the painting nature, the screws may lose their paint if over-tightened. Even the big box stores screws will face the same issue as white screws can only be painted instead of electroplated due to manufacturing process. Make sure the screws fit well before tightening them and handle with care (again, to avoid damaging the paint while screwing). You may use a piece of tape, soft cloth, or even just tissue paper to cover the tip of the screw driver, and then tighten the screws gently. However, if you do need extra screws, please click our storefront page (Hennebery Hardware) and find the exact matching screws. For toggle switch and duplex outlet cover wall plates, we use the 3/4" long screws. For rocker switch/GFCI receptacle wall plates, we use the 3/8" long screws.

I needed to block one side of a double gang Decora style switch. This plate looked great, installed in about 15 seconds and is made of metal, not the cheap nylon versions. It was well worth the price!

This was a nice upgrade to the builder's plastic wall plate. The color is just like the photo, and matches the wall color perfectly. The edging was a nice feature. It installed quickly and came with matching screws. It was priced well - about the same as a big box store would charge.

Thankfully I only needed 2 of these, if I needed more I could always try buying directly from the manufacturer I guess. I used these for decorative keystone inserts (LAN ports), we used this same brand and style for electrical outlets and lightswitches throughout the house. I didn't purchase it so I can't write the review, but my wife bought a 3-gang lightswitch cover for a troublesome spot in the house: It was a 2-gang box that had a 3rd switch added by previous owners using an old-work box, and because of the box wall thickness the 3 switches never lined up right to use a 3-gang switch cover. These plates are sturdy enough that I was able to just unscrew the 3rd switch from the box, screw it to the plate, and screw the plate to the other 2. Finally my switches line up! (Nobody panic, all of the switches are grounded already!) ... show more

These arrived in great condition and were immediately installed. They do make a nice difference. They are sturdy and well painted. The screws are also surprisingly well painted and I'm a horror when it comes to installing slotted screws. The paint stood up fine to me. I had a problem with the actual switch set back farther than I wanted, due to these being deeper than the prior plate. I tried loosening the screws on the receptacle, but that didn't seem to do much. I'd like to know that solution. I saw that the more raised surfaces on the fancier plates, the more edges for dust and grime. I went with a minimalist selection. Best of both worlds. ... show more
