I just received the shoes. Delivery in one day, I do have to say Amazon has been earning their keep latey. When they same day, you get it the same day..you get it the same day. They have said i will get two different items in two days and they have been consistent so we shall see. I received a pair of size 7 velvet mary jane black shoes, I read in the reviews that you should get a half size up. Even though they have rubber soles I planned to dance in them. Well I must say I thought I would actually be able to slide when I wanted to, yet you could walk when you need gripping and feel pretty confident that you’re not going slip or fall. They are very pretty! I loved them right when I saw them! Okay….having said all that….just please get your regular size. I have ordered all my Amazon shoes and boots in my regular size and I can walk in them and they feel good. I bought the 7 when I ALWAYS get 6.5 well they feel like 7’s always feel on my feet….I would walk and dance out of them, despite the buckle. I did not take one step because they were huge! I am sending these back and getting my regular size. Not all of the people writing reviews have the same shape of foot as you do. So if there are only few that say they are too big or two small then do more than hesitate go through a lot of reviews and feel better about the size you’re getting. IF you make a mistake and get the wrong size just know you will find very pretty and kind of dainty., shoes I am going to a popular old club my husband and I used to go to when we dated. I will be wearing the same clothes I wore back then because the clothes now are just a modified version of them. The shoes I’m wearing are important! These shoes are poorly constructed, no cushoning in the shoe and they send these flimst inserts. The strap is useless and they used the cheapest material possible. If you wear them in the rain they might disintegrate.....that's how poor the material is. Save your money

I purchased these in early November when they were only $10 a pair. I didn't expect much from a $10 pair of shoes, but I am shocked by long they last. I'm approaching 1 year and they are still great. I teach high school and I wear these 2-3 days a week, so I do a LOT of walking in them. They have a little squish when you step and the shoe is deep, so I pulled the supplied insole and added a Dr. Scholl's plantar fasciitis insole to the shoe -- it fits perfectly and my feet never hurt on the job. They are velvet and I expected them to attract a ton of pet hair and lint, but they do not. However, I don't wear them around the house in order to keep them clean. The buckles are ridiculously cheap, and I expected them to rip or break off by now, but they work and are holding strong; the catch doesn't slip on the strap. When I purchased this style of shoe in the 90s with red hard soles, the fabric ripped out soon after buying or the buckles fell off. I have not had that issue with this shoe. I wish they were still $10; but they're still worth the price at $18. I wear an 8.5-9 shoe regular width, and I'm 274 lbs. I purchased a 9 and it's roomy enough to hold a quality insole and not pinch when my feet swell a little. ... show more

These are really cute shoes considering they’re only $18! I have wide feet with bunions and these give me enough room and hide my bunions! I can’t wear the Rothy’s or Vivaia Mary Jane’s because they’re too narrow. These are way cheaper and cuter IMO. They’re nice and soft too I don’t feel like there’s going to be much of a break in period. ... show more

It’s a little hard to describe the closure mechanism on these, but it is a metal piece that you adjust, and then it sits to keep it from sliding. Anyway, I could not make it tight enough. I used it all the way as far as I could, and it still wouldn’t tighten up enough, I still made it work anyway. These are fairly comfortable for what you would think they would be, which was, no support whatsoever. They actually feel pretty good walking around in them. ... show more
