I left a 5-star rating when I first got the camera. Other than the broken app. for Android, the camera itself is nice for the money. Until..... I just went to edit some of my videos and Powerdirector said it was missing a shadow file. What is a shadow file? I have no clue because the file still plays. So I checked it out and of the last 100 videos, every one of them is missing a shadow file. If I want to edit these movies I have to repair each one first. :/ After that process the videos are even better so, I guess it's a UHD thing. The sound cuts in and out and a very poor quality recording. We needed better sound quality but the seller was very accommodating and attentive. Others may find this just fine but for our purposes, recording live music, it just didn't work out.

I plan to return camera. I only used and tested about 15 minutes. There is nothing wrong with the unit save it does not perform any better than my 10 -year-old camcorder. I was seeking an upgrade in zoom and quality of pics but seems to be about the same on both counts.

This device is great for the money. I purchased it to have a camera for low light conditions and this thing hasn't disappointed. It functions well, the mic picks up sound just fine. The lens cover keeps out unwanted light and the remote even helps while using it from a distance. If you're searching for an affordable camera this one is perfect just flip open the camera screen and press the record button and it is recording. Its a good beginner camera has sound recording and good for personal use. Takes decent looking video and pictures. Makes for good home video movies. Priced right. ... show more

    • Hope you weren't expecting 4K / 60 fps
Your phone probably records better video than this camera. I bought this so I could record at 4K/60 fps. I realize this is an inexpensive camera and I didn't expect it to be amazing, but I did expect it to at least do what the manufacturer claims it does. Unfortunately, 4K is only recording at 30 fps. Oh, sure, it's encoded at 60 fps, but it's not ACTUALLY 60 fps. Additionally, the picture quality was pretty awful. This is getting returned. ... show more

    • Does not record live music well at all
I tried every conceivable setting on this camera and could not get it to record my guitar and singing voice well at all which is the primary reason I bought the camera. I ended up returning it and using my phone to record a video which worked far better than this camera.
