Description

It’s been almost a decade since the first 2008-2010 Ford 6.4L Powerstroke rolled off the assembly line. A lot can happen to a vehicle in that much time. And, if you’re like many 6.4L Powerstroke owners, your degas tank is looking worse for wear. Over time, the stock plastic tank becomes brittle and cloudy, making it prone to leaks and impossible to see the coolant level. Luckily, Mishimoto has a solution that will look and function in 15 years just as well as it does today. Replace your ugly and brittle plastic stock tank with Mishimoto’s all-aluminum 2008-2010 Ford 6.4L Powerstroke degas tank. The fully-welded design of Mishimoto’s degas tank means that it won’t crack and leak coolant, and the integrated sight tube makes checking the coolant level easy. No more trying to shine a flashlight through a muddy tank. For even more convenience, the Mishimoto degas tank includes an additional 1/8” NPT port for easy pressure monitoring. The Mishimoto 6.4L Powerstroke Aluminum Degas Tank is available in a stealthy micro-wrinkle black powdercoat or natural finish to match any custom theme. Of course, this degas tank is also backed by Mishimoto's Lifetime Warranty. In the unlikely event you have an issue, Mishimoto has you, and your 2008-2010 Ford 6.4L Powerstroke, covered.

  • Built solid and engineered well!!
I replaced my stock '08 F350 6.4L coolant tank/degas bottle after it cracked from a head gasket leak. I looked at the Dorman/ Low buck route, but the Dorman was about 1/2 the money and really bad reviews from poor build quality. The dealer ship wanted slightly less than this tank...…….hmmm, plastic factory tank or tig welded aluminum for about $20 more?? The build and quality of this tank is absolutely AWESOME!! The installation was pretty straight forward...…..pull battery, drain coolant, remove the stupid one piece battery box/vacuum reservoir/coolant reservoir (degas bottle) that Ford decided was a good idea for an all in one unit. Follow instructions to remove old reservoir (a 5" cut off wheel on a grinder works best....my thoughts), mark holes, and drill holes for new bottle, and install. All hardware that you need is included. The powder coat finish on this tank is flawless. My truck has 272,000 miles on it and is tired but I am not ready to give up on her just yet. I just didn't want to have to replace another plastic tank. ... show more

  • Nice Upgrade to the original
This is an awesome replacement. Much better than the original plastic that deteriorated over time. Only negative is it does not come with a radiator cap.

  • Works and looks great. Won’t have to worry about plastic welds splitting anymore.
Easy to install and looks great. No more yellowed plastic. Won’t have to worry about plastic welds splitting and leaking coolant anymore. Cheaper than OEM plastic and will last much longer. Install will take 2 hours. You will lose some coolant. If you have coolant vacuum tool I would use that. You can refill coolant under vacuum and have 0 air pockests! ... show more
