  • Good fitment
2012 Subaru STI. Good fitment and easy to install. Looks great.

  • Good customer service, proper hose fit is tricky
Coolant system leaked about a month after installation; called customer service to inquire about warranty replacement should it have been the radiator that failed. Spent about five seconds on hold before helpful service representative walked me though the warranty claim process which seems very straightforward. Fortunately the radiator itself was not directly at fault. Radiator is very nearly direct fit in the 2005 Legacy GT engine bay; it does require some modification to (in particular) the upper radiator hose. However, clearance on the upper hose is very close to the stock fan, and the leak was ultimately caused by the fan wearing a small hole into the upper hose even though it seemed clear when the system was cold. Going to attempt to reinstall with low-profile fan shroud kit which should help. ... show more

  • This Radiator is Rad
Excuse the bad joke above; seriously though, this radiator is nice. I bought this radiator because my 08 WRX was leaking (turns out the plastic drain port on the stock radiator was on the verge of crapping out.) The Mishimoto is an upgrade and happened cost less than an OEM radiator, a big plus. This is also full aluminum which means that unlike the stock radiator, which is plastic and aluminum, everything heats and cools at relatively the same time meaning it's less likely to leak if properly installed. This radiator is thicker and will require some finagling in order to put it in, but its really not a very difficult job. I think it would fit without cutting original hoses, but I ended up cutting about an 1/8 to 1/4 in off some hoses in order to make everything fit nicer. Overall, I'm very pleased with Mishimoto. ... show more

  • Beware of poor threads! Metal shavings.
(2010 Subaru wrx limited) Great replacement considering the similar price of OEM radiator. But poor quality control on threading. You get 2 metal parts that connects to the rubber inlet that’s located on the top passenger side of the radiator. 1 for wrx (large) and 1 for the sti (small). I’d advise to use thread sealant. —-Be careful when installing or it will strip and metal shaving will enter the radiator. The threads aren’t quality made. And same goes for the large bottom bolt if you tighten it. Had to reorder replacement. ... show more

  • was nicely packaged item was safe during transport
Came really quick, actually came the next day after i ordered which was earlier from the expected arrival time. was nicely packaged item was safe during transport. as the the quality it self is good. looks very nice and shiny. well built. The install was easy no issues with it. although if you using the factory hose on the top. i had to cut about half a inch off it because the rad is a lot thicker then the stock one so the hose was to close to the alternator. which with the engine rock on hard acceleration the engine could rock enough to slice the hose. but that's a easy mod or you can buy the hose kit from Mishimoto. Other wise the performance is good. Car sits around 180-190F as before it would be around 200-206F. product works well and looks very nice and solid in the engine bay. ... show more

  • Super Cool
Replaced OEM radiator on 08 WRX as it was leaking from top where plastic meets metal, gauge seems to run a little lower than before, and measured temps with Cobb AP and it never went above 195, great fitment, very worthwhile upgrade if your pushing more power than stock.

  • Giving this a 1 star review due to poor quality control, updated to 3 star
Updating this to a 3 star review from my original 1 star because I'm actually really happy with this radiator's performance. I was trying to do the install to replace an OEM radiator on my '09 STi that had a plastic end tank fail catastrophically. I'm currently at the point of attaching the fans and I discovered that I'm missing the expansion port fittings that were supposed to be included. They were apparently not placed in the box with the rest of the necessary installation equipment. I was able to find a hose barb fitting that worked by rummaging through carburetor fittings in the back of a local auto parts store. Ultimately a 3/8" NPT male to 3/8" hose barb fitting worked and allowed me to complete the install in time. ... show more

  • Obviously much better than stock, but packaging was open upon arrival.
I will update after the product has been installed for a few months. At this time, I can say that the install is plug and play, and is rather easy with the right tools. Unfortunately the package arrived with both ends of the box opened and a decent sized dent in the side. I did not see the dent until I was almost done installing and I had to finish the install. I contacted the company so I'll update with what they respond. ... show more
