Sometimes you just want a utilitarian desk that securely holds a computer, monitor, & keyboard without a lot of fuss. This desk delivers. It is very durable for the price, although the look is pretty “basic.” By the same token, the simplicity of this piece means it is not difficult to move or lift by yourself. This desk took me just shy of 2 hours to construct. All the parts came labeled and sorted, and I had no trouble following the diagrams. It is a well designed product. As another reviewer mentioned, one set of holes did not line up for me and I wasn’t able to fit one of the screws in. Not a dealbreaker, it was for a shelf that’s still plenty secure. Easy to put together, and versatile set up for your situation. This is a real nice look for faux rustic wood. Instructions are made for men with pictures, sorry guys most people like to read for more comprehension with pictures. I didn't use the top monitor shelf for economic reasons of having the computer to high for bifocals. The instructions didn't provide the option for putting the monitor shelf at the bottom as pictured on the website pictures but I figured it out. I have a tall and wide computer tower so I couldn't use the side middle shelf. It could use a keyboard shelf under the table top for ergonomic comfort. I took advantage of the extra screw holes on the legs and purchase some lumber to make another shelf under the table top for placing other equipment. I also purchased a sliding keyboard shelf to attach to the table top but I had to get a 20 inch keyboard shelf so beware that large keyboards will not leave room for a mouse. I will post pictures later after my shelf has been stained and attached if this lets me. It is stable for a non- solid wood product. ... show more

I bought this for my 15 year old stepson and he was able to assemble himself in about an hour. It comes with all the tools needed and the instructions were easy to follow. We liked that you could chose which side to install the shelves. Also, the top shelf is freestanding, so you can decided where to put on the desk. Overall, a solid desk with ample shelves and a good frame, however I am docking two stars for 1) Receiving a 45" desk frame when I ordered a 47", which is fine, I can work with that, and 2) the largest wood piece is too large, probably because it's for a 47" desk. I contacted Amazon support and they said the only thing they could do was a return, which I couldn't do because I need a desk, so they gave me the manufacturer's phone number (after saying they would contact the manufacturer themselves and didn't), but the number didn't work so I'm taking a rotary to the piece and making it work.
