I contacted Minnetonka directly the day after my review. They were so helpful! I explained the problem and they immediately got my contact info to send me a new leather tie and the wire to string it. Would recommend! Daughter is still wearing them after 2 years. There's a spot in the toe that is starting to look worn, but I am happy with the wear and tear these moccasins have taken! We loved these moccasin. My daughter wore them every where, even church. As other reviewers have commented it does come loose often and have to be tied again. My daughter was loving the shoes until 2 days after the 30 days we could send them back the tie broke while she was tieing them. We are so disappointed. I have searched for a way to contact the company on here and can't find it. I would be happy to change my rating if someone would contact me. Thanks! ... show more

    • Great toddler moccasins
Just like all the other Minnetonka moccasins I have purchased for my son these are great! High quality, nice & thick leather and stay on his feet (with this style you need to double knot the cord). These are thick enough that my very active 3 year old can wear them out to play. He has even walked around in them after it had rained and his feet remained dry. These run much smaller or "TTS" then the infant style moccasins! I ordered them smaller thinking they would run similar (as is 2 sizes larger) but when we received them in and 8 toddler they were too small for him. My 3 year old currently wears a size 8 toddler in converse & vans (which run a little big) and we ended up needing a 10 toddler in these for him. You can't beat the price for the quality of Minnetonka's! There are several other handmade moccasin companies now who make a very similar product in a rainbow of colors, however they don't hold up as well, and sell for over $60. My son wears a size 7-toddler in other shoes, and after reading the reviews that these mocassins ran big, I assumed they would fit fine. These were way too small for my 14 month old, who is big for his age (36" tall and weighs 31 lbs). When comparing them to his other shoes, these were obviously smaller than a regular size 7. Also the toe is slightly narrow, which wouldn't work for his rounded feet. I'm sure the leather would stretch if he worked them in, but that might be painful for his developing feet. The quality is great overall, with a soft and flexible sole, but still thick enough for outside wear, which is why I gave them 4 stars. I ordered a size 9 which I am still waiting for in the mail. ... show more

    • Need longer laces

Purchased to teach child to tie shoe laces, but I have a hard time keeping them tied myself. They come loose very easily, even when double knotted, about every 5 minutes. Could use longer laces. Very comfy though so I may buy new sneaker laces to use instead

I love my new Minnetonka moccasins. They are very comfortable on the feet. I have rheumatoid arthritis and it’s hard to find shoes that are comfortable on my feet. Most are too narrow because my feet swell are a few hours, but these fit just fine.

I bought these moccasins for my daughter. I used the size chart, and ordered a childs 3, but they are slightly big. Thats fine, she will grow into them quickly! The workmanship and materials are exactly as I remembered these from when I was a kid. They have added an innersole, which provides padding and protection. They are essentially a soft leather sock with a fabric insole, great for playing and camping and quick to slip on and off. The stitching is doubled where the sole attaches to the upper, but they are not a heavy duty shoe of any sort. Exactly what I expected, just what she wanted. ... show more
