it has worked flawlessly this season! I replaced a motorguide 45 lbs standard on the tracker proteam 175 for 2008. the bracket cracked, then snapped in half (pc of junk IMO) and motorguide wants $300 for the bracket, WHAT? if I had been given the option originally, I would have gotten a Minn Kota!!! the 70lb Maxum pulls the boat 3.2mph on high accordingng to my hummingbird graph and my iPhone GPS (that includes the two lunkers fishing for bass and all the stuff we take along!). It also has the power to stop the boat instantly when you turn it 180 degrees!!! I love it!!!! btw, I changed from 12v to 24v when I made the switch, so I needed to get a second Blue Top Ultimà (that was another great purchase!). 07AUG2020 this Minn Kota is still kickin’ butt after almost six years... I like the one guys review AND the boneheads who found it helpful. the guy writes that his motor took in water, who would have thought they’d make a motor that wasn’t waterproof. yes they do make waterproof motors DA! they make the BEST trolling motor you can find and you were to have a service issue, you can speak directly with the engineer on the phone and get your problem resolved quickly!!! and for the record my Altima Blue Top marine batteries (2x12v) are from 2013 and the other is 2014. NOT one of the 1, 2, 3 or 4 star reviews are valid!!! ... show more

This is one tough and easy to use motor. Lots of power. Well worth the money. I rate this 4 out of 5 stars because the PULL GRIP doesn't seat on the Yoke while in the stored position so you have to find a place to wrap up the cord to keep it from whipping in the wind when not using the trolling motor. I would still recommend it to a friend through Amazon's free shipping... ... show more

Minn Kota is the best trolling motor on the market..... period! I fish FLW for bass and Minn Kota has never broke or left me stranded during an event. I really test these trolling motors because of the rigors of pro bass fishing. This thing cuts ttrough anything and keeps on going.Its the trolling motor most pro count on!! Husband ordered this motor and is very unhappy that the isolator mounts no longer come with their motors. So if you cannot reach under the deck, be advised that you need to order isolators or minn kota quick nuts to mount it on fiberglass boats. This has resulted in me traveling and traveling in order to find something to mount the motor with. Today, again, he starts his jaunt to try and find something to mount it with. Being in the country, today is a 100 + mile trip to get them. THANKS VERY MUCH MINN KOTA ... show more

It turned out to be what I expected from Minn Kota. The instructions were easy to understand and follow. So far I am totally satisfied with the products performance. The COM mode has given me a new way to spend more time fishing and less time trying to control the speed and direction of the boat.

I bought this on March 3rd 2016 and have used maybe 10 times at best. I took my boat out yesterday and it worked for 20 min then stopped suddenly. I had 2 fully charged Optima Batteries so I know that was not the issue, (Batter indicator light said full battery as well). I paid almost $800.00 for this on Amazon and they only offer a 30 day warranty and will not return this. I understand that sometime you get a lemon and I believe this is what happened here. I have had Minn Kota products in the past and never had issues. I would say that my biggest complaint is with Amazon. I am currently working with Minn Kota about a warranty claim. I just think it is absurd to only offer a 30 day warranty on this. I should have read the fine print from Amazon before buying this. I am very disappointed with this return policy. As an Amazon Prime Member I spend thousands of dollars a year with them just to be treated poorly on this exchange policy. ... show more
