Came a day early and was super easy to install with the quick release mount! Troller was well packaged and Well built… it feels a lot sturdier than the off brand electric bow mount troller I had… runs smooth and way quieter than the previous troller.. if I could give the a more than 5 stars I would!

I’ve owned this for a few months now so I have a good feel for the performance: I mounted this on a 1999 javelin renegade f/s 18ft. The motor has enough force to move the boat around with ease, but once there is a wind/ strong current the motor starts to struggle to keep the boat moving forward and not side to side. Foot control is a must since I fish off the bow 99% of the time, and it works great. Speeds 1-2 are almost useless since i need speed 3 to move the boat. Installation wasn’t horrible, I used the mounting bracket to remove the motor with ease. I purchased this model thinking I would get the bluetooth remote + adapter, but I am instead looking to upgrade to a 24v unit with spot lock ... show more

This is my third Minn Kota over the last thirty years and they still are the best. The motor is strong and smooth, has great speed variation and the composite shaft allows some bending when near the shore or rocks and always comes back to straight. A beautiful product.

I ordered minn kota because it’s a big name product. The price reflected that. I mounted it and wired it up. Nothing! It didn’t work right out of the box. Now I’m trying to deal with getting a replacement.

The name says it all but there is MORE! I bought the disconnect plate and the wireless remote control that installed inside the base and it is a huge improvement over the foot pedal. If you are buying this tolling motor, spend the extra for the wireless remote fob kit and the disconnect plate where you can easily remove your trolling motor to secure it better. The only thing I could think Minn Kota could make any improvements on is add a Deadman switch to the foot pedal so the user could have a easier way to turn on and off the trolling motor. Spinning the throttle wheel all the way down or trying to kick the tiny on/off switch is ridiculous. Their engineers that designed that foot pedal should be required to use it DAILY!!!! Other than that ...I am very pleased with my Minn Kota and the options of upgrading!! ... show more

Works great plenty of power on 175 bass tracker. great battery life even when fishing in the river. Only dislike is the foot controle. Takes some getting use to. And the mount hangs over the front of my boat instead of flush like my old motor Not a big deal just gets in the way when unloading or loading on steep boat ramps. overall I'm satisfied with the motor ... show more

Dislike the pedal drive. The turn is really loud and spooks fish in shallow situations. I wouldn't recommend anything other than cable drive if your using pedal. Haven't used on Detroit yet but I'm thinking I'll pass from it's performance when it's windy
