I had to request a replacement because the first one I received had a defective lid - the springs fell out and it wouldn't stay shut so it wouldn't brew. The replacement works fine. It is pretty short so almost none of my regular travel mugs fit under it, which is a big bummer. It is really loud when it first gets going, then normal percolating sounds, then super loud again - it sounds more like a coffee grinder than a coffee maker. I ordered this because I liked the different options - like the self-cleaning & the iced coffee features. It doesn't seem to be made very well but so far it works well. The reusable k cup is a nice bonus. I like that it's just a single serve maker because I'm the only one in my house that drinks coffee. I appreciate the bonus 'recipe book' but all the recipes call for a blender or something other than just this coffee maker, so it makes me a little confused and annoyed. This product did not even last month. I only drink one cup a day. Today smelled like something burning. Water went all over counter. I put it in the trash. I was totally upset with how things were working. I would never buy this brand again. I would also recommend Amazon to stop selling this product to any customer. ... show more
