I originally got this as I was receiving a good number of packages via Influenster & wanted to have something to stage products in. This setup was very reasonably priced, and for getting started, I figured I'd give it a try. It's alright. Even on a sturdy surface it is fairly flimsy, so any movement or bumping of a desk will shake your frame easily. It's also best designed for an actual camera setup vs. mobile phones, as I found there was really no place to set the phone down easily to get a good shot. The light is bright and I do like that it's easy to set up, but other than that I think it's more fuss than it's worth-- at least for the tasks I need it for. ... show more

The Pros: 1- Box is bright and easy to use 2- Good for small items Now for the cons: 1- the construction is quite poor. 2- The connection to the power/light strip was loose on the one I received and so I'm exchanging it to see if the next one is better. Fingers crossed. 3- The box doesn't open tight on the corners and has a tendency to buckle into itself 4- The cloth included is very porous and shows up in any image - if that's the look you're going for great, if not then you'll need to edit the photos quite a bit. 5- if you want to set up a cool display or take a photo of a tall item/object I wouldn't recommend this model. ... show more

I am using this primarily for photographing items for eBay with my phone: which this is Awesome for! My expectations were not too high for this being so cheap. BUT...WOW...worth every penny. No, you are not getting a professional quality lighting system, but this is a perfect affordable studio-quality light box for small objects. The directions to put it together are worthless, but it is not hard to figure out. 4 stars because: 1. I wish the bird's eye port had a removable lid or some way to keep it open. 2. It is not that sturdy once assembled ( I am being honest here) but it is just fine as long as you work delicately 3. There is no rhyme or reason for putting the backgrounds in. There are slots on the material, but I still can't figure out what it's for and I am still unsure how I will clean them (from dust, scratches from items, etc.) 4. I don't know how long the glue will last for the light 5. I wish it were bigger That being said, those are my complaints which only bring it down to 4 stars. $14--Don't question it, just buy it. ... show more
