I have old plaster walls, and I hate hanging anything that requires nails or screws. I purchased these in clear and installed 6 of them in just minutes. The adhesive is very strong so, if you make a mistake, it will be difficult to remove. Something to keep in mind is that there is only about a 1/2 inch between the wall and the part that clips around the curtain rod, which could interfere with the movement of the curtain (opening/closing) if you place them on the wall - the curtains may hang too tightly against the frame of the window. I needed brackets with a minimal projection. Most I found were 3" or more. I didn't use the adhesive as I was applying it to vintage oak casings. The screws aren't the best, but worked more or less. I cut away the plastic adhesive disk. I would have preferred metal brackets (these are plastic) but from a distance, they can pass. All in all, a decent solution for my application. ... show more

These were great for hanging curtains. I hung a 120 inch curtain rod and used 3 of these self adhesive hooks! They were perfect! They may destroy your dry wall if you try to remove them so I would suggest heat them up with a blow dryer before you remove them from a wall. They stick really well!

These do NOT hold up to 18lbs. I had 6lbs hanging on the wall using two of these. I followed the instructions for installation, and they held for 2 weeks before the weight caused them fall, damaging my wall and brand new end table in the process. Don't waste your money
