With three blades included and many more from Milwaukee available for your purchase, you’ll be able to tackle a variety of materials and jobs with ease. Keep a comfortable grip with the rubberized overmold. It has notches, so even if you’re working in a slippery environment you’ll have an easy time holding on. When it comes time to switch out blades, you’ll have an easy time. Push in the button and pull out the blade; that’s all there is to it. Reverse the motion to insert a new blade. This particular model, the 48-22-0305, marks an improvement from previous models in terms of safety. Where previous models are fixed blades, this one has the ability to fold into the handle. This will keep your hands and your blades safe when the tool is not in use. If you need to cut through drywall, copper tubing, wood, or any other variety of materials, look no further than this Milwaukee folding jab saw. • Excellent, Needs a Value Overhaul
I wish it had a better value, otherwise this design beats the competition when adding all features: compatible with standard Sawzall, reliable quick release mechanism, blade that folds into the handle, comfortable rubber overmold grip, cutting wood, metal, and PVC pipe for tight spaces where a full-size reciprocating saw is too bulky. ... show more

  • WHAT A GREAT GIZMO - MILWAUKEE QUALITY CONSTRUCTION & FOLDING BLADE!!
I've been looking for a hand type saw for a while, there are many available. I came across this Milwaukee Folding Jab Saw and it's perfect, so easy to use, SAWZALL blades are securely locked into place when in use and also when stored away in it's handle. A convenient Thumb activated pushbutton controls the blade's locking. Changing a blade is also easy, on the opposite side is a spring loaded slider, push this and the blade is released. To install a blade, just push this spring loaded slider and put a blade in, release the slider and the blade is securely in the jab saw. The saw's mechanism looks like it will accept any SAWZALL blade, however, only the shorter 6-inch blades will fold back into the handle. So I suppose you could use a longer tree pruning blade to cleanup some trees. There are many different SAWZALL blades available so it would appear as though you could pretty much cut anything, that, you desire! It a great tool, comfortable to hold and easy to use. If you're "On The Fence" spend a little more and get this jab saw, I think it's well worth the price. ... show more

  • This is a useful tool
I've had cheap disposable hand-saws before and they've always felt wasteful since you can't buy more blades for them. All the while I've had a small case filled with various sawz-all blades. I'm surprised there aren't more products like this one. This saw handle is nicely made of durable plastic with metalic internal working parts. There's a button that allows the blade to open/close like a switch blade, and when it's in either open/closed position it's locked securely in place. I use mine with a metal-cutting blade to clear the crud from between my deck boards (Ipe wood) and this blade handle does exactly what I need. ... show more

  • Comfortable, Safe, Compact
This product is better than I expected upon my first take. It wasn't until I put it to some real tests that it works pretty well in actuality. My first test was a rectangle of drywall that needed to be replaced at my job site, I did a traditional cut down along the stud and over. The hand saw cut through the drywall like nothing! I was shocked because the teeth of the Sawzall blade that they give you are much smaller than those of a traditional jab saw. Speaking of traditional Jab saws, Their blades are usually fixed and I bought this Milwaukee saw because it could fold and safety is of utmost importance to me on the job. The Blade simply felt too flimsy to be a good jab saw, so that would be my final test. In order to test this I had the saw straight back from the dry wall about 6 inches and I went for a quick jab. The blade struck in perfectly and I could start a good cut. Overall not a bad product at all! I gave it 4 stars out of 5 for now because of the flimsy blade. We will see how it stands up to the test of time. Pros: Folding for safety and Compactness Replace the blade with Sawzall blades! Cuts pretty well with minimal force (Drywall was tested) Cons: My main con was that the blade is a little more wobbly than a traditional jab saw ... show more

  • Milwaukee 48-22-0305 6 Inch Folding Jab Saw...
The "Milwaukee 48-22-0305 6 Inch Folding Jab Saw" is a nice, handy little saw you can carry in your pocket, fold out the Sawzall blade you mounted in it and use, easily. I got it primarily to deal with some woody brush in my backyard that is too thin to justify using a chainsaw, too inconvenient to use a bow saw and too thick to deal with any other way, up to now. This little tool did the job. ... show more

  • Fantastic
This saw is my new favorite tool. The handle is very comfortable to hold and makes it easy to control direction for cuts that aren't dead straight. The folding feature allows this saw to be stored much more safely and in in a smaller tool bag. So far the locking mechanism works perfectly, and the no tool blade replacement is very easy to do. You're limited to a 6" blade if you want to fold it, but you can still use it with a longer one. I've not yet tried different blades to check compatibility. This is the best jab saw I've used so far. I'd definitely buy it again. ... show more

  • This Thing Blows Regular Drywall Jab Saws Away
The first benefit of this saw is the ability to attach almost any standard 6" inch reciprocating saw blade including blades for metal, wood and drywall. I love this feature because it allows me to cut small metal pipes, PVC plastic pipe and drywall all using the same handle just by swapping out the blades The folding handle shields the blade when now in use and prevents the saw from making cuts in my tool pouch or tool bag. Before buying this folding jab saw, my old standard fixed blade jab saw would eventually cut a hole in my tool bag or pouch, but not anymore. Cons: There is one downside to this folding Jab Saw ... Standard sawzall blades are fairly flexible and not as thick or rigid as the blade of a Fixed Jab Saw. If you're an electrician accustomed to a regular jab saw you may not like the flexibility of using a sawzall blades as a Jab Saw especially if you're cutting several holes daily in drywall or working on 5/8" heavy duty drywall. On 1/2" Lite drywall this saw works great but it can be a challenge to penetrate 5/8" commercial drywall using a sawzall blade in this folding Jab Saw. Overall the versatility of this Milwaukee Folding Jab Saw makes it work for me. ... show more

  • I bought it to cut stuff...
And cut stuff is what it does... sometimes you don't need to Sawzall power, buy you need a Sawzall blade. This helps you accomplish that very thing, safely.
