I ordered this for a concert I'm going to in May. Some of the reviews left me skeptical about the sizing and sheerness but it wasn't an issue at all. I really like it, it is flattering and very pretty. For reference, I am 5'2 and 160 lbs and got a size large. I assume the part that people say is too short is the bottom layer which is shorter than the top (that's intentional), but it looks really good and the top layer gives some privacy and covers any parts that you might think are too exposed. I'm personally going to wear black bike shorts under the dress for the concert because I'm going to dance around and don't want to chafe. The sleeves are nice and airy so it's breezy. The stretchy waist is nice and accentuates the waist giving a flattering figure. I recommend it and think it is worth the money. ... show more

The embroidery on this dress is gorgeous! The dress itself is unfortunately sized wrong! I ordered an XL and typically I wear a L - XL. I am a size 12-14. My bust is a 38C. This dress was extremely small as in XL = size 8 ! I feel it is sized for Junior. I would try to reorder in a larger size but I'm not sure the XXL would even fit because it's probably equivalent to a size 10 and I'd need at least a 12. Additionally, I am 5'7 and this dress is a bit short flat footed - bending over and sitting down would be a concern. Perhaps a bigger dress would add a bit more length. ... show more

After reading reviews I decided to go one size up from my norm. I could barely get it pass my knees. I really though it was pretty and was able to gift it to a family member who looked great in it. But I should not have to give away something that I bought for myself. They need to work on the accuracy of the sizing chart. I wear a dress size of 4-6, usually petite. I ordered the Medium in this dress, it fit perfect and oh, so beautiful and comfortable. Looking forward to wearing this for holiday events. I am 5'3" and the dress falls about 2 inches above my knees, perfect for a 50 year old. I weigh between 140-145 lbs.; 34B bust; 28 inch waist. My concern with sleeves is that they usually as so tight, but not this dress, sleeves have some give, but they didn't fit tight to begin with. The band is around my waist so I would definitely call this a petite fit. If you are not petite then it will probably be an empire waist dress and super short. ... show more
