I was using these to make attractive sound-dampening panels for a work-from-home office. The canvases are of nice quality, well constructed, and sturdy enough for my needs. They seem a little overpriced, to me, but again I am no artist. I bought a 1.5" deep egg-crate memory foam mattress topper, and then cut panels out to fit inside the back of these canvases. If you're doing something similar, cut your foam panels about 1.5-2" smaller on both length and width than you need - the wood in back of these canvases is angled, so you lose a lot of space to tuck the foam in. The foam depth worked great, you can't see the egg-crate bumps through the front of the canvas or anything. I then took a nicely patterned cotton fabric from the fabric store, positioned it on the front of the canvas and tacked it tightly in place. I got upholstery tacks, but you could use small staples in a staple gun if you prefer. The result is a 4 gorgeous panels that block a TON of sound. The wood is sturdy enough to hold heavy-duty hanging hardware, and the weight of the foam & canvas itself. ... show more

I know some of the reviews talked about the canvases, being ripped or the wood peeling. But I had no problems with mine. I use them for textured art, and they worked perfectly!

I bought a 4 pack of the 1.5" thick stretched canvas and 1 of the 4 had a streak down it from excessive paint build up. I tried covering with 3 more gesso coats and the streak still shows and so it was useless for a painting. Buyer beware.

I'm a professional painter. I depend on quality stretched canvases. While the product is not the least expensive, the canvas is sturdy - it HAS to be, as it is 60" x 48". Others seem not to understand the importance of a quality product for artists. If I'm spending a lot of time working on the canvas, I want it to hold up! Bravo! ... show more

An important painting is approaching. And the quality of the ground (canvas) is crucial. Milo was a new company for me and I was a bit nervous. Once we carefully opened the tape on the seams outside box, -- which was way too big for the canvases, so they were sloshing around inside the box, -- we discovered that the first, outward facing canvas was slashed! I'll still use it as an extra canvas to off-load paint, but it is a pity! Please take more care in packaging canvases, getting the sizes right, and asking the manufacturer to face canvases in, towards each other. Thank you for an otherwise good product. ... show more
