After seeing some of the reviews that the canvases were ripped for the inside ones ,I decided to take mine apart to see if that was true when they arrived. they were all in great condition. They are adequately gessoed and they are stretched Just fine on the stretcher bars. I give this an a plus especially since they're so affordable. Anyone who paints knows that larger. I.e. 36 by 24 inch canvases are fairly pricey and these have The deep profile ( have one and a 1/2 inches). Which is what I want for my fluid art. ... show more

Would definitely buy online vs getting from retail stores. Good value for price. Well build frame. Canvas is a good quality too. I am using it for high quality acrylic painting and absorbs the paint layers well.

I was using these to make attractive sound-dampening panels for a work-from-home office. The canvases are of nice quality, well constructed, and sturdy enough for my needs. They seem a little overpriced, to me, but again I am no artist. I bought a 1.5" deep egg-crate memory foam mattress topper, and then cut panels out to fit inside the back of these canvases. If you're doing something similar, cut your foam panels about 1.5-2" smaller on both length and width than you need - the wood in back of these canvases is angled, so you lose a lot of space to tuck the foam in. The foam depth worked great, you can't see the egg-crate bumps through the front of the canvas or anything. I then took a nicely patterned cotton fabric from the fabric store, positioned it on the front of the canvas and tacked it tightly in place. I got upholstery tacks, but you could use small staples in a staple gun if you prefer. The result is a 4 gorgeous panels that block a TON of sound. The wood is sturdy enough to hold heavy-duty hanging hardware, and the weight of the foam & canvas itself. ... show more

I know some of the reviews talked about the canvases, being ripped or the wood peeling. But I had no problems with mine. I use them for textured art, and they worked perfectly!

When you lay them flat, they rock because the corners aren’t square. Two of the corners are an inch off the countertop when they lay flat and they were all like this. I wish I would have opened them sooner. The return period has passed. They were stored properly but are no good for anything but practice. I also think the advertisement that they are gallery profile is misleading. I thought that meant deep profile, gallery wrapped, but they are back stapled. I didn’t have the leveling problems the first time I ordered. Disappointed. ... show more

I'm a professional painter. I depend on quality stretched canvases. While the product is not the least expensive, the canvas is sturdy - it HAS to be, as it is 60" x 48". I bought a 4-pack of these large canvases for what seemed like a good price. Except 2 are badly torn and unusable. The only option Given to me was to return all 4. They had already been two days late in arriving and I did not want to send back the 2 good canvases because I really need them right now. So I am out approximately $80 because I am not going to send them back. Another option should have been offered, to reimburse me for the cost of 2 of the canvases that are not usable. ... show more
