Frequently asked questions

The Miken Chaos Slowpitch Softball Bat is approved for play in all major associations, including ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. This wide approval makes it a versatile option for players participating in various leagues and tournaments.

The XL Endload on the Miken Chaos Slowpitch Softball Bat refers to an extra load of weight concentrated towards the end of the bat's barrel. This design is intended to provide hitters with more power and momentum through their swing, making it ideal for power hitters looking for maximum distance.

The 14-inch barrel size on the Miken Chaos bat offers a large sweet spot, making it easier for players to connect with the ball solidly. This larger barrel size is especially beneficial in slowpitch softball, where making powerful and precise contacts is crucial for driving the ball effectively.

While the Miken Chaos Slowpitch Softball Bat is made with durable materials, it is generally recommended to use it in mild to warm temperatures for optimal performance and longevity. Cold weather can reduce the bat's effectiveness and increase the risk of damage, so it's better to use it under recommended conditions.

Should I Buy It?

If you are looking for a highly regarded, budget-friendly bat that performs well above its price point, the Miken Chaos is a fantastic choice. It is particularly recommended for recreational league players and teams seeking a versatile bat certified for multiple leagues. Its slight drawbacks compared to more expensive composite bats are considered negligible by most users, making it a worthy investment for the average player.

  • Good bat, not a ton of pop
I bought this for softball and it's a solid bat but it doesn't feel like it has a ton of pop which is fine for me because I'm not a home run hitter anyway. Great bat for the price.

  • Great Bat for what it is
Style: 34 inch / 27 oz
Miken Chaos 27 oz. This is a great aluminum bat. Has good pop, for an aluminum bat of course. I’ve got guys that can hit to the fences with this one. If you are going to go budget and can’t find a composite bat for under $100 or just want to get one bat for all leagues this is a good one as it is USA and USSSA certified. We got a one to two hundred swings on it and its still going strong. If you are going aluminum get this one. I have considered buying all 3 weight options for my team just to have something for everyone. ... show more

  • Very good alloy bat
Style: 34 inch / 28 oz
I hadn't played organized league softball in 40 years years so needed a bat instead of having to borrow others' each time... this one looked like good value ... makes a pinging noise unlike the composite bats, but appears to be solid and no issues so far ... I can't compare it with anything else for the distance and pop because I hadn't played in so long, and at 66 have certainly lost some of the power I had 35 years ... but for my senior league use I am happy with it ... another guy on my team said his old bat was dead and used mine a week or so, then bought one as well. ... show more

  • Great bat for casual play
I play in a rec league in a very casual manner. This bat is perfect for the once a week players like myself. Good pop, good durability, has home run power, and the light weight allows me to feel like I have a ton of bat speed. Great value at this price point, would recommend to anyone in a rec league. ... show more

  • Bat suits my swing
Style: 34 inch / 28 oz
The bat has a good feel and a slim handle for a good grip. This is a weighted bat so it has more weight at the end away from the handle. I got a 34"-28 oz. Model. It must be a good bat since 4 or 5 guys in the lineup use it now.

  • Decent bat for the price
Style: 34 inch / 27 oz
It's a cheap bat, good value for the money. Swing feel isn't the best. It's a good bat if you're just looking for cheeky over the infield basehits.

  • Excellent 2 piece aluminum bat!
Style: 34 inch / 28 oz
I purchased the 34/28 bat to use during the cooler months to avoid damaging my composite bats. While clearly not a composite bat, the design of the bat and two piece construction resulted in a bat that is surprisingly effective if seeking to hit line drives out of the infield and into outfield gaps for extra bases. Based on hitting from a tee it seems you lose 10% of distance when compared to hitting with a similar styled composite, but if your goal is not 300' home runs, this shouldn't be an issue. And the difference in price is significant. So if your league doesn't permit the use of composite bats or you're looking for a comparatively inexpensive bat that still allows you to be competitive, I'd recommend the Miken Chaos. ... show more
