    • Ruined my tape in extensions
Previously I got tape in hair extensions at the salon and had my stylist take them out, put fresh tape on them and put them back twice… She had said they were in such a good condition that I should be able to get away with wearing them yet another time, but having them in my hair during that latest round was starting to annoy me and I really didn’t want to have to pay to have them taken out at the salon again - so I bought this stuff to take them out myself. Well, I guess this product does what it says – it dissolves adhesive… I thought I would be able to get the extensions out and then someday when I decided to wear the hair another time, I bought more tape so I could try to put them in myself to save money. But this remover dissolved the adhesive so much that the wefts started falling apart! I had loose strands of extension hair all over the place. By the time I had them all out of my hair, the extensions were in such a shape I knew I wouldn’t be able to reuse them again. And I still felt like I had adhesive in my hair so I had to spray more of this stuff directly onto my head to try to get it off. My stylist had made it seem like this was so easy and I really regret having used the stuff to try to take care of it myself. ... show more

Okay so firstly, this is the best tape in remover I’ve ever used. Pros: - it has a cone ✨and✨ spray tip nozzle - actually removed the adhesive with hardly any residue left over (I only had it in areas I had developed some tangles with grow out, even then it was way less than other removers I’ve used in the past) - aside from some slight redness on my scalp initially, there is no damage to my hair (I have incredibly sensitive skin and also this is important foreshadowing for later) Cons: - WHEN I TELL YOU THIS ATE MY SINK LIKE A HUNGRY SNAIL… Please learn from my mistakes and don’t let your removed extensions hang out in the sink while you remove the rest. It’s not worth it. This stuff is like paint thinner, I can’t for the life of me figure out how my hair has no damage but my sink does. It ate through the color on my hair clip. It ate through every layer of finish on my sink including the drain plug. It removed some of the color from the extensions (not my natural hair, I color that too … don’t ask me how because I don’t think even god has that answer). You can see where the individual strips were laying in the sink and in the areas it didn’t completely remove the finish, it lifted the top layer and the color that came off the extensions seeped into the cracks. We just moved in a couple of months ago so there was no previous damage. - smell is strong but not any worse than dying your hair at home or using a strong cleaning agent. At least it smells like citrus 10/10 for the hair removal, just put your extensions in a bag or something nowhere near your counter or anything that you value ... show more

I used this to remove tape extensions. I’ve done DIY tape in extensions since 2017 and always used an oil shine spray (drug store) as a remover. After washing the extensions I can retape and reuse if I wish. This time I decided to try an actual solvent marketed for this purpose and it just made a huge mess. After washing my natural hair I still have hair stuck to my fingers and scalp. The extensions won’t be usable. It does dissolve the adhesive but it sticks other places. I’ll stick with the oil spray, less expensive and my hair feels healthier after removal so win win! ... show more

I wear tape in extensions (different brands) purchased through Amazon and a lot of the adhesives that are used in them are super hard to get through compared to big name brand extensions. This remover literally saved me and I’m so glad I found it!!! You just spray a bit on the tapes and let it sit for a few seconds and the tapes just slide off your hair! It also makes it easier to remove the tapes from the extensions to reapply new tape. Only downside is it does feel kinda dry and icky on your hair but I just double cleanse with a clarifying shampoo afterwards and it feels ways better. ... show more
