Basic, simple, not bendy and springy like the common dissapointment available. I alreqdy had 2 - 3in extensions i added to the end. Because of the duocast size and added legnth i had to slighty tighten main pivot with included allen. Easy! Clean.. i paid the extra dollar for the slight rgb glow at the base only. Comes with no way to secure the arm to the included mount aside from a tiny plastic disk that's doesn't even work as intended. Terrible design and build quality. Don't buy unless you have money to waste and a 3d printer to print your own mount like I had to.

    • Best for a setting where the microphone will remain in a fixed position

Well built, nice materials, sleek lines, curvy corners, heavy-duty desk mount, check. Nice set of hardware for mounting the two common types of microphone mount sizes. It's got all the necessary joints to be able to get it pointed where you need it regardless of where you have to attach it on a desk. The 360-degree rotation of the arm is a nice feature, and feels smooth. The unfortunate part is that there are huge areas of free play in the joints which requires tightening the Allen screw to the point where the arm remains static but then is not maneuverable. If you are good with a fixed position for your mic, I think this will work well as you can get it in position and tighten it down. It should stay in that position, no problem. If you are the type to want to move around the mic as you use it, even slightly, I'd suggest looking for an arm with a different joint type / tightening mechanism. A built-in way of adjusting the tension, particularly in the middle joint would make this a much better product. If you're going for a static microphone at a desk that you don't need to move around in the middle of a session, this arm is above average but I tend to want to micro-adjust the mic in between takes and it is not well-suited to that. ... show more

considering the price, you aren't really going to find a better new deal. Maybe on the used market, all things consider though it does have some vibration since there are no springs but its manageable.
