Description

Microblend Interior Paint & Primer is a one coat, water-based acrylic resin paint designed for use on walls, ceilings, trim, window frames, drywall, wood and previously painted/primed metal. Our proprietary formula dries hard, resists stains and burnishing while remaining washable and scrubbable. Microblend paint can be sprayed, rolled, and brushed; self-leveling additives encourage an even finish. Microblend is the only on-demand paint manufacturer in the world. When your order is received, our Automated Paint Machine dispenses a mix of our proprietary raw ingredient slurries, water, liquids, additives, colorants and acrylic resins directly into an empty bucket. Once shaken the ingredients transform into fresh paint. Every bucket is tested with a spectrophotometer ensuring incredibly consistent color, bucket to bucket, order to order for perfectly matched walls and touch-ups. Our paint is low VOC and the hide, coverage, durability and color consistency meets or exceeds the most expensive paints on the market. Microblend is an Arizona based company producing world class paint one bucket at a time. (Over 8 million gallons sold!) Surface preparation is an important step in the painting process. Make sure to research the correct way to prepare your project for painting. Dust, grease, moisture or glossy/glazed surfaces can create problems when applying paint.

  • Almost Black is really a BLUE Black ...
Color: Wolf Creek Specific Uses For Product: Exterior Finish Types: Semi-Gloss Size: 1 Gallon (Pack of 1)
Thought about using this on the shutters for our house to make them pop. Sadly this isn't really almost "black" - it's a BLUE black that won't work with our color scheme. Too bad because there's nothing else I don't like about the paint. But then again, color preference is just that... a preference. I just didn't realize there would be a blue tinge to the color. Getting into it was like opening a Babushka doll. Three boxes, a layer of foam wrapping, and enclosed in a poly bag. Ain't noone going to bust that thing open! First thing I loved was that the plastic lid has a pop-off spout. This makes it easier to pour into your tray, or to access at the beginning with a small brush for cutting in. REALLY like this feature... the old tin lids are such a pain to use especially if you have something like gloss that you are using over multiple jobs. Having done a test spot, I will say that, as with any paint I've used that claims to be one-coat, I would always plan on 2 coats. But few people can put on one coat and get full coverage. You WILL miss a spot *somewhere* unless you are a professional painter. Other than that, the viscosity is perfect . There's minimal odor and it dries relatively quickly. Of course the proof is in the wear and that means time. I may use this elsewhere outside. If I do I'll come back and report how it worked after a season. Happy Painting! ... show more

  • Great colors, two coats minimum
Color: Wolf Creek Specific Uses For Product: Exterior Finish Types: Semi-Gloss Size: 1 Gallon (Pack of 1)
Several years ago I put up crown molding in our house. The paint I used was incredible. I brushed it on and it flowed so well the finish was incredibly smooth and the brush marks didn't show. Unfortunately, being busy I threw the can out and forget to take note of what paint it was and have not found anything that works that well. I also tried a paint and primer from Behr that was horrible. This is slightly better. Pros Great choice of colors and they look good. So far the colors on the Amazon page match the paint very well. (I have an iMac that is spot on color wise). It came well packaged, in fact, three boxes and some thin foam. No spillage or damage of any kind. Although the final box was labeled this side up which you don't know until it's too late... While it takes at least two coats it is thick and doesn’t scratch up as bad as Behr does. The little tip card says 4 to 6 mills is best which I’m not sure exactly how you measure that. I like the plastic containers - no rust and easy to open. Plus you can recycle and use them for pales. Brushes wash up really well. In fact, barely any paint stuck to the bristles unlike any other paint we’ve used. So far I like the finished color after it’s dried a couple of days. Cons It takes a minimum of two coats whether over paint or bare wood. I tried brush and roller both not covering completely on the first coat. Dry to touch is 30 minutes but label says recoat time is 4 to 8 hours, depending on sheen. But it also says it can take up to 30 days to fully cure. Not sure what exactly happens. I painted some cabinets for our van and can’t wait that long to put them in. Other paint I’ve used sticks and pulls off when you detach the pieces so wondering how bad this will be. It did not work well over spackle but I’m not sure if maybe the spackle is the problem but the paint literally came off. The containers say Interior and Exterior. I assume that’s because they wanted to save costs and use one type of pale to store the paint as a paper label says specifically what it’s for. But I wanted to know the difference so I sent them an email listed on their website but unfortunately never heard back. In fact, I tried again and this time the email came back. There is very little or no flow. I used both a brush and a roller but marks show and it doesn’t flow out to a smooth surface. They mention keeping it wet but that’s not easy to do, you end up trying to fix a spot forever. Best to let each coat set then try again with another coat. It is the type of paint that if you scratch it or try to scrape off a little a lot more may peel off. In a way that could be a good thing but it’s a lot of work to fix something that should be otherwise small and simple. While they have a great choice of colors I have no idea how you would get a custom color especially one that would match what you may already have like you can with a local paint shop. If I can’t get a response to an email seems like getting and testing a color would be a nightmare. Overall, it’s not the perfect paint. It is thicker than Behr and covers better and the colors are great. ... show more

  • Beautiful paint, but not almost black
Color: Wolf Creek Specific Uses For Product: Exterior Finish Types: Semi-Gloss Size: 1 Gallon (Pack of 1)
So I have a few things to say about this paint. First I wanted it to paint my vanity in my bathroom, and not use it for the exterior of my house, which I thought would be fine because an exterior paint is pretty hard wearing, and I liked that for my bathroom vanity. I initially wanted to paint it blue, but my wife wanted black, so of course like a good husband I relented, and said ok hunny, let's take the almost black color. The pictures on the listing led us to believe that it would be dark charcoal or almost black. When it arrived, it was navy blue. Now I don't know if that was a mistake, but it was one that I was happy with, and got to paint it blue like I wanted to. You can see by my pictures that it was navy blue, and very nice. Even my wife loved it in the end, but the fact remains that it was not almost black as the pictures on the listing described. Not even close, but for the fact that it was dark. So if that was a mistake, it worked out in my favor. If it turns out that almost black means navy blue, well then now you know. You might not be as happy about that as I was. the other thing I would say was that there was a lot of air in this paint. It was difficult to paint the doors of my vanity with a roller as it would always leave air bubbles, and I would have to keep going over it until they were all gone. In the end I completed it with a brush, and that was much more effective. So for me it worked out great, but be aware that it isn't at all the color that was shown. ... show more
