These are stronger feeling, braided cables. I don't know if that actually matters to the electricity flowing through them, but it makes me feel better. They have slightly longer rubber end caps to reduce the cable cracking and fraying where it gets bent the most. At least it should keep it at bay for longer. Otherwise, they seem to charge phones and batteries just as fast as the Apple cables for a fraction of the price. Bonus, you can get colors so they don't blend in with the black carpet in your car, or disappear into your backpack. 10ft long is actually probably longer than you need. Grab a tape measure first, the bendy sewing kind, not the metal, retractable kind, and see how long you really want your cables to be. We bought these to take advantage of the the new USB charging slots in our new car. The idea was that the 10 feet would make it so you could lean back without having to worry about the cable. It works, but 6 feet probably would have done the trick and left a lot less to wind up or leave strewn on the floor. If you're running them behind stuff on your desk or underneath a table, then longer is probably better since you can always bundle up the extra and just leave it there in case you need it for the future. ... show more

Jeez I forgot when I bought this but it’s my favorite charger! The wire is very sturdy, it’s an average charging time; not too fast but not slow either. The length is my absolute favorite too and I switch between products and it hasn’t messed up on me yet.
