Works well and can be used to draw with, but be aware, it has no pressure levels, so while you CAN draw with it, the experience isn't as nice as a real apple pen. It's the exact size and shape as the real deal and feels identical in the hand, if not for the weight discrepancy. I really like the metallic barrel, i think it looks nicer than the plain matte white of an apple pen. No need to pair either, which is cool, and it attaches magnetically to the side of the ipad. it cannot charge via the ipad though, you gotta use the usbc cable for that. Overall, a solid alternative for people that wanna test out digital art before investing in a 100$ apple pen if you're not sure. I imagine it's really nice for note taking. If this company ever made one with pressure levels I bet it'd give apple a run for their money. ... show more

This pencil works so well with my ipad for such an affordable price. It easily connects with two taps at the top and it's easy to tell when it's full charged. It came with it's own small charger and it fits perfectly in my ipad case. I like how it came with two extra tips in case the other one gets worn down over time from usage. I have an iPad mini 5 and had an apple pencil (gen1) and could not get it to pair for no known reason even after contacting Apple support. If it did pair, it would randomly disconnect and often could not get it to come back in a timely manner which is no useful when using it for work. I too a chance based on reviews for this MUCH cheaper pencil option and WOW! No bluetooth needed, so full airplane mode/no wifi/no bluetooth and it's connected working like I am using pen and paper. I got it, took it out of the box, double tap the end to turn it on and it was working in all my drawing/animation apps immediately. No issues so far and cheap enough Im going to buy another just in case. An Apple pencil set me back $100 and was a desk decoration while these just get it done, easy to charge, easy to know when it is low on battery, have no found an app that it doesn't work with. Buy 4 of these for the price of an Apple and don't look back. Highly recommend. Also! From a longevity/travel/in your bag all the time aspect, these are metal not plastic like an Apple so they will last! Nice flat side too so it won't roll away. ... show more

Having used the Apple Pencil 2 extensively, I can safely say that I can't tell the difference between the Pencil A8 and its Apple counterpart when it comes to writing and note-taking. It started talking to my iPad from the get-go - no pairing was required. There's no perceivable latency while writing; ink appears instantly on paper as you write or draw. I used this pencil with OneNote, Apple's Notes and Pages apps, and Sketchbook. I mostly use this pencil for writing and a little bit for casual drawing. If this is how you plan to use this pencil, I'd recommend it without any reservations. If you are into serious sketching or drawing, I'd recommend one of Apple's pencils due to their superior tilt and pressure sensitivity (this one doesn't have the latter). I'm happy to say the tip slides over my iPad screen smoothly, with no friction that can scratch it. The extra tips will be useful for frequent users. The pencil charges quite fast. One charge lasted for about ten days, with an hour of use every day. I do miss the always-on (no need to "wake up" the pencil) and double-tap-to-erase features that Apple Pencils come with. Still, I got used to not having these quite fast - in fact, this product makes up for it by emulating the writing experience of Apple Pencils at a pocket-friendly price. ... show more
