The pen works perfectly fine for my iPad 10th gen. The metallic body of the pen feels comfortable when held in the hand, and the double tap open-and-close feature also ensures the pen doesn't turn on or off by accident. The pen comes with replacement spare-tips as well, so you will definitely be able to use it for a long time. However, take note of this fact: the magnet is displaced and is meant to fit other types of tablets rather than the 10th gen iPad. Still attaches to the ipad if used with a case though, but very loose. Doesn't hurt the usage of the pen as long as you secure it with your iPad when you store it. I don't have any other versions of tablets or iPads, so I'm unsure which tablets has the concise magnet. Though like I said, not a big problem. Used it for 3 weeks already and hasn't fallen out of my ipad case at least. ... show more

I have been using an Apple Pencil (gen 2) for years. I recently purchased a an iPad stand with brackets and quickly got sick of having to remove my iPad from the stand during the day and at the end of the day to charge my Pencil. While shopping for an alternate charger I found this. I decided it was worth a try and I am so glad I did. It’s so much lighter, it holds a charge longer and I can charge it quickly and easily. There is also no lag and tapping with the side of the nib (menu item at the bottom of the screen, for example) works beautifully. I am ordering a couple more for my family. This is a great pen for a 10th gen iPad. I had bought a different 3rd party brand pen when I bought my iPad and the pen itself was just garbage (losing connection, not holding charge, having to reconnect consistently) so was hesitant to try another, but very glad I did. Two things that this one has that the other did not and they are literally a deal breaker now going forward. Power button on the end of the pen and an auto off feature after like 5 min or so of non-use. The case I have has a built in space for a pen to the right and its just pop it out from behind to get it, so the power button on the pen is great as I just press and go and alternatively, once I put the pen back in to its space, I know it'll self power off after 5 min or so. I paid extra for the pink color to match my ipad and case, so $24 instead of I think $16 for the white. Out of the box connection to my ipad. Recognized each other immediately and was able to communicate w/no issues. After a few days of general use, but lots of drawing and coloring, I have yet needed to charge it. Works like any other pen from my inexperienced hands as I am a novice when it comes to the use of one of these for anything other than for the above and taking notes. I had no co clue as to the Apple Pen's price, but when I looked, wow. This is literally 1/4 of the price and I cannot tell the difference. Save your money folks. ... show more

This product worked really well for 7 months, when it started being very inconsistent with whether it would write or not. Sometimes I could get a full session out of it, and sometimes it won't write at all, although being fully charged and on. Sometimes it writes a few letters then stops responding. That said, for the first 7 months, it was a breeze to use. Comfortable to hold, easy to connect, lightweight, and accurate when drawing or writing. I bought the Metapen Pencil A8 in purple to match my new iPad case, and it has been fantastic! Not only does it look great, but it also works just as well as the Apple Pencil for a fraction of the price. One of the best features is the fast charging—it powers up super quickly and lasts a long time. The tilt sensitivity is great for drawing and note-taking, and it feels smooth and responsive on the screen with no lag. It attaches magnetically to the iPad, which is a nice bonus, though it doesn’t charge wirelessly (but that’s expected at this price point). I’ve been using this pen for about a week with no issues whatsoever. It charges well, it connected to my iPad with little to no instillation and it’s been performing well ever since. I like the double tap feature to turn on and off. Also comes with a little cover to keep the charging port clean & two extra tips! I’ve had both Apple pencils and they broke within a year of use. So to get this good of a quality of price at less than half of an Apple Pencil….. this is really a great dupe. I draw with mine and do digital design on canva and it’s great for both uses. If and when it dies I’ll come back to update if the life is longer than a year. ... show more

This is the first stylus I’ve used for my iPad so I can’t really compare it to others, but it is amazing. I used just my hands for a couple months and this has been a game changer. I love that you don’t need to connect to bluetooth. It charges so fast. Was able to use it right out of the box without looking at the instructions. Easy to hold and have used for hours on end without hand cramps. I can’t imagine what is so special about the apple pencil that makes it cost 10x more than this. The only real downside is the dust cover for the charging port isn’t connected to the pen, so you have to be careful to set it aside when charging. Otherwise, highly recommend. ... show more
