I did read the size and look at the details, but even doing so, they look much smaller in person. Not only that, but when they arrived they were all loose in the package and going all over. But overall, they do look like pirate doubloons and are really cool play coins. They're really light bright gold, so they look like new treasure if that's the look you're going for. These will work great and look awesome when I put them on the table, it will make my friends jealous. They are the size of an American Quarter. Very shiny and the design looks amazing.
