I did read the size and look at the details, but even doing so, they look much smaller in person. Not only that, but when they arrived they were all loose in the package and going all over. But overall, they do look like pirate doubloons and are really cool play coins. They're really light bright gold, so they look like new treasure if that's the look you're going for. The picture taken is an item I will be using for an underwater GeoCache in New Mexico as part of the cache trading. These are fun trading toys. I also use the as Dive Guide training. During the pool training, it’s important to keep your diver’s attention. I carry many of these and drop them on the pool area to gain and maintain the diver’s attention. They stick to me closely and it’s now “bragging rights” on who has the most gold. These are also metallic and are easily identified by underwater metal detectors.
